@ruffydfire @FRSCNigeria @officialABAT I think it's high time the FRSC re-evaluate their scope of work to cover random alcohol and drug test for drivers on the highway. Anyone find guilty will be charged a fee that alone can be a source of revenue for the commission.

@renoomokri Stop defending trash. What's a stationary vehicle doing in an express lane if the country is working. You should be ashamed of yourself. What I expected of you as someone who claimed is intelligent is to investigate the root cause and place mitigation going forward.
English

Dear Peter Obi,
I note your comments on today's unfortunate accident involving the former two-time world heavyweight boxing champion, Mr Anthony Joshua; however, your statement contains several falsehoods.
Sir, rather than rely on 'reports', as a responsible statesman, you ought to have waited for the authorities' official statement. Alternatively, you have the contact details of the Governors of Ogun and Lagos States. Why not call them and get verified information?
Contrary to your post, it is not true that "no ambulance was readily available to convey him to the hospital."
The fact of the matter is that Mr Joshua, who, thank God, only suffered minor injuries, was conveyed to a hospital within minutes of the incident, and the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Nigeria Police Force were at the scene of the accident within the first ten minutes of the accident.
That is commendable. But you chose to be condemnable.
The incident occurred in a rural area, outside the metropolitan regions of Ogun and Lagos. Because Mr Joshua was already on his way to a hospital within minutes, there was no need for an ambulance at the scene.
Nigeria has good emergency response services. They are not perfect, but they do a good job in difficult circumstances and should be motivated and encouraged.
Barely a week ago, there was a ghastly road accident around the Epe axis. Eyewitnesses called the Lagos Emergency Response line-112, and within five minutes, an ambulance arrived at the scene. You can read about it here reportnaija.ng/2025/12/lagos-…
You yourself served as Governor of Anambra for 8 years. Did you have a working emergency service in Anambra? Of course not. Do you deny that under you, Anambra doctors were on strike for 13 months, from early 2010 to early 2012, due to inadequate pay and unpaid salaries, yet you bought 400 luxury cars for Anambra Igwes?
You admitted to it here, and Nigerians can read your wired fir themselves via this link thewhistler.ng/why-doctors-we…
I respectfully appeal to you, Mr Peter Obi, to desist from your habit of de-marketing Nigeria at every opportunity, even when you have to misrepresent the actual situation because of your political ambition.

@joejossy_12 @HighChiefOkoro Well spoken, it's diplomatic affairs, and the Nigeria Government is doing well intelligently to follow suit. Writing long boastful text won't solve the issue. Nigeria military is powerful and well respected. There is no lie about. we have to bring our soldiers home safely.
English

@HighChiefOkoro Okoro happy Sunday. I would advise you to sit this one out bro, this is not about APC media propaganda. It's a diplomatic row btw sovereign nations. Even USA negotiate with Iran to free captured soldiers. Confrontation is not an option and FG knows better than you do!

A WORD OF WARNING TO THOSE CHEERING IBRAHIM TRAORE.
Let this be stated clearly and without ambiguity.
Nigeria is not Burkina Faso.
And this is not a situation to be toyed with for social media applause.
Those edging Captain Ibrahim Traore on, celebrating the continued holding of 11 Nigerian military personnel and a Nigerian aircraft, are flirting with a line they do not understand.
Nigeria’s Armed Forces are not a collection of militias.
They are a full spectrum military power.
Nigeria commands hundreds of thousands of trained troops, battle tested across insurgency, counter terrorism, peace enforcement and regional operations.
Nigeria possesses modern fighter jets, attack helicopters, surveillance drones, armored tanks, artillery systems and a blue water navy.
Nigeria has local defense production capacity, deep logistics chains and long standing international military partnerships.
Burkina Faso does not.
This is not chest beating.
This is reality.
Burkina Faso operates a small, overstretched force, largely dependent on light infantry and external support.
Limited air assets.
No navy.
Restricted logistics.
Minimal strategic depth.
Those pushing Traoré to “stand firm” are not the ones who will bear the consequences of miscalculation.
Nigeria has shown restraint.
Nigeria has chosen diplomacy.
But restraint must never be mistaken for weakness.
Holding Nigerian personnel and equipment is not activism.
It is provocation.
History is unkind to leaders who confuse online praise with real power.
Nations do not run on slogans, hashtags or borrowed revolutionary rhetoric.
They run on capacity, structure and force projection.
Nigeria has all three.
This is not a threat.
It is a reminder.
Respect must prevail.
Diplomacy must prevail.
And those advising recklessness should remember that regional stability is preserved by responsibility, not bravado.
Choose wisdom, Captain Ibrahim Traore.

Shameless individual, a disgraced to humans.

@MannyBond @BashirAhmaad It appears that whenever someone took over an office in nigeria, all morals and human empathy vanished. There's something demonically mystical about owing an office position in nigeria, even if you are a general overseer of a church.
English

@BashirAhmaad Once upon a time, he cried out: Fulani terrorists are slaughtering my people! Now in power, he says: no genocide, no jihad in Nigeria…Which voice should we believe…the priest or the governor?…History has receipts👉his own video. Nigeria deserves leaders who don't rewrite

“We do not have any jihad in Nigeria, I'm speaking to you as a reverend father in the church. I'm speaking to you as a governor of a state. If there were any, particularly in my state or any part of Nigeria, I would have been the very number one person to make a noise.” - Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia.

@HighChiefOkoro Reform only a few can feel, only those eating from the particles that fell out from the table of the leaders. That's NO Reform. The people on the street ain't feeling it.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown through decisive reforms that Nigeria’s economy can recover and grow. The same determination, focus and political will that strengthened our economic direction is now being applied to securing our nation.
Nigerians can be confident: the President is fully committed to restoring peace, strengthening our security institutions and ensuring that every citizen feels safe in their own country.
Nigeria will be secure. The process is already in motion.

@NigeriaStories This is the problem with Nigeria leaders. A man whose house is on fire does nt go to the farm to fetch firewood. Going to the G20 summit to do what?
What's he going there to do? Why's shame so far from nigeria leaders? You sit comfortably with people whose houses are in order

JUST IN: President Bola Tinubu is set to leave Abuja tomorrow for a visit to two nations: Johannesburg, South Africa, and Luanda, Angola.
His visit to Johannesburg is to participate in the 20th G20 Leaders Summit. Following this event, he is scheduled to travel to Angola for the AU-EU summit.

@renoomokri Long epistle and sadly senseless message. Hope you deliberately wrote this message so people can't be patient enough to decipher the rubbish you are spewing.
What's the function of the government if not to provide the environment to secure lives to the security agencies.

Kebbi School Abduction: State and Community Police Is the Solution to Nigeria's Internal Security Challenges
One of the saddest things about Nigeria is that when terrorists strike, we attack the government rather than the terrorists. The abduction of twenty-five girls from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi State, and the killing of their vice principal is condemnable.
My condolences to the family of the departed and my heartfelt prayers to the parents of the missing girls.
The government should do everything possible to rescue the pupils and apprehend, then prosecute, the perpetrators of the murder and kidnapping.
But beyond identifying the problem and reacting to it, we must provide solutions.
Even though these abductions have significantly reduced from what occurred in the last administration, where 881 schoolchildren were abducted between May 29, 2015, and May 29, 2023, it is obvious that our military and security forces are overstretched. They are doing their best and should be encouraged.
However, a total of less than half a million soldiers and police officers for a population of 235 million and a landmass of almost a million square kilometres is inadequate. We need to deepen security.
The time for State and Community Police has come. We must make policing as local as possible. In light of our security challenges, one centrally controlled police force with a command structure in Abuja may no longer be sufficient to address Nigeria's security issues.
If the Kebbi State Government had its own police force, for example, there is a strong possibility that this incident would not have occurred.
Much progress has been made under the Tinubu administration. However, to drastically improve security in Nigeria, I urge the President to take the initiative and push for the establishment of State Police. He can achieve it. He has the political skill and will to instil this. Now is the time.
Mr President, you have already increased federal allocation to states by at least 100%. They are now in a position to afford it. Let them pull their weight. Sir, please give Nigeria State and Community Police.

President Tinubu Is An Omoluabi. He Will Show Respect, But Won't Bow To Pressure!
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu met with Alhaji Aminu Dantata on Friday, November 19, 2021, as a regular human being and bowed to him. Alhaji Dantata was 90 at the time.
And then again, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, he met Alhaji Dantata, this time as the President of Nigeria. The meeting took place at the Presidential Villa. And even as President of Nigeria, in the seat of power, the father of the nation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, still bowed to Alhaji Dantata, who was then 93 years old. He has passed away now. May God rest his soul and grant him al Jannah Firdaus.
I tell this story to show that President Tinubu can bow. But he does not bow before tyranny. After all, we are talking about a man who fought General Sani Abacha and troubled him with NADECO, which he funded, until Abacha died!
The man is used to threats. He is no stranger to men with big guns, compensating for small body parts, and attempting to bully him.
Did you watch him at yesterday's Federal Executive Council meeting? The man looked unperturbed and calm as he displayed a command presence. Notice I said a command presence, not a commanding presence. There is a difference.
People in Nigeria and some abroad are about to see the power of stooping to conquer. That is the Omoluabi ethos!
One thing I find interesting, and even admirable, about Lukumi Yoruba Muslims is that if their parents are an Alhaji or Alhaja, they will hardly call them Daddy or Mummy, or Baami, Maami or Iya mi. Instead, they will refer to their parents as Alhaji or Alhaja.
Respect is key in the Southwest. I grew up with cousins who would not even dare look their parents in the face, especially their father, when talking to them. And I have witnessed where a lanky, small-framed father would slap his much bigger son, and the offspring would remark, e pele sir.
President Obasanjo once testified that he did not know that his father had Owu tribal marks until his father died, and he was staring at his dad's corpse.
Such is the level of respect.
But that respect does not denote weakness. It is a gentlemanly quality that has helped the Lukumi preserve the order and equilibrium of their society.
The reason the Yoruba are probably the most successful Black African people on the planet globally is because of their culture, which inculcates humility and respect for elders in them. Because humility allows you to learn, and when you learn a great deal, you earn a great deal and also rise to great heights.
Any culture that deemphasises respect and humility limits its growth potential, because without humility, you reduce your ability to acquire mental acuity. You are also unable to stoop to conquer, which is the most effective non-lethal means of defeating the forces arrayed against you. And that inability forces you to be more aggressive, which is one of the least effective means of vanquishing your opponents.
When you respect someone, you can expect it in return because you trigger the other person's ego, which makes you appear brighter in their eyes. For example, if you are introduced to someone called John Edwards, and you say, 'Good afternoon, Mr Edwards, it is a pleasure to meet you, sir, ' you are more likely to go far with that person than if you say, 'Hello John. '
That culture of respect, which stands out the Lukumi, and marks them out as a polite people, is what makes doors open to and for them worldwide.
No matter where you go on Earth, you can defeat those hell bent on harming you if you have a charming disposition.
And because President Tinubu understands and displays these attributes, I am more than certain that Nigeria is in good hands, and what some people think will bend and end Nigeria will only lend itself to our greatness.
