Arab countries condemn Israel for even the slightest hint of an imagined “Greater Israel” project, yet they pay no attention to the real Ottoman ambition. Why would they? If it’s Islamic, then it’s not an occupation, its the Islamic Caliphate.

ראיתי היום את הדיווחים על כך שטורקיה נזרקה מרשימת 30 היצואניות הגדולות בעולם, ולמען האמת, לא הופתעתי. נראה שההחלטות האחרונות של ארדואן מתחילות לחזור אליו כבומרנג. כשהוא בחר לנתק את הקשרים הכלכליים עם ישראל ולהוביל את גל האנטישמיות העולמי, הוא כנראה לא שיער שהפגיעה תהיה קודם כל בכלכלה של המדינה שלו. אני מאמינה שלפעולות יש השלכות, והנה אנחנו רואים את זה קורה מול העיניים. המסר פשוט וברור: אנטישמיות כלפי העם היהודי היא לא אסטרטגיה משתלמת.
