I wrote my first blog post in December talking about how I think we should organize React code. I spent a ton of time thinking about this and ended up building my own state management library to solve what I perceived to be the problem. 3 months later and I now disagree with almost everything I thought then.
I thought about rewriting it from scratch but I want to find myself in this position again in June.

@WebDesignMuseum This is exactly what it looked like when I first got it. I wasn’t allowed to download anything onto the family computer so the only way I could play was in the browser

@broady @samlambert My hot take is e46 > e30. I love both but I would do unspeakable things for the one in the original post

@samlambert Stock e46 isn’t beautiful either. Neue klasse could look great slammed with literally any other wheels.

@bentsignal @theo @convex Ye nice! This is a pattern I personally have employed in my non-convex projects in the past, I think it has been discussed internally too, stay tuned :)

I really don't like secrets floating around in plain text on my PC, that's why im allergic to putting them into my terminal in a form that can end up in my bash history.
For that reason I added an interactive method for setting env vars on @convex.
Hopefully coming soon!

@samlambert E commerce sites that have been around since the beginning are so bad. Mountains of tech debt.
My last job was at a company whose site had been live since ‘95. They kept up pretty well, but there was so much nonsense baked in that it was always a challenge to make things fast.
