Last week saw my final day at the BBC after 21 years. In September I’ll be starting a new job in the Office of the @DC_PCC. Thank you to all who’ve worked alongside me, and to all who’ve trusted us to tell their stories. I’m very proud of so many of the things we’ve done together

"The disappoint & upset surrounding this is indescribable": the son who's devastated by lack of change after an inquest. George Shepherd talks to @benwoolvin @BBCDevon as new study of bereaved families' experiences of inquests is published. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… #VoicingLoss

So much news atm, it's easy to miss quietly important news. Check out new research re bereaved families feeling let down by inquests & their aftermath. This from @Independent independent.co.uk/news/uk/englan… Behind every finding are grieving families who feel let down. #VoicingLoss

This film is a tough but important watch. If you are someone who carries a knife or if you know someone who does, please heed the powerful words of Michael’s heartbroken sister on the Court steps ….”Leave it in the drawer”. Michael was clearly so loved by all he touched. RIP.

I knew we had to try to make this film within 10 minutes of meeting Michael’s family. Please watch, especially if you know someone who carries a knife: bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…

@aaronjamesf1 Thanks for watching Aaron. “Absolutely utterly amazing” is a good way of putting it.

I've worked very closely both personally and professionally with Michael's family over past yr and I couldn't agree with this more. They are absolutely utterly amazing people & this film does it justice. Particularly liked the bits with Ryan Burger too. Worth a watch. Excellent.

@PaulCliftonBBC @aaronjamesf1 @jonkay01 I was briefly URE head of news! But then I went and had lots of fun running the two week RSL on FM, when our presenters decided to try to break all 40-odd Radio Authority rules, and my ford sierra was the Radio Car. Your colleague @benwoolvin was one of the better behaved iirc…

May I also commend to you this piece on Okehampton station’s desolate years (this is how I recall it: I was at Exeter Uni from 1999) by reporter @aaronjamesf1 who has been a supporter of TATRB since the start thepost.uk.com/news/the-fall-…
