@RLFantasyPro @_seandavies yeah I agree, I don’t really love the optimiser but I don’t really want an app to tell me trades anyway. But the new additions recently with pulse and the bye planner are second to none.

Has anyone done a “X player will miss this many games over the Origin period” table or list? Would be good to see which Origin guns I’ll want to sell, possibly starting this week.

In the past 10 days, I have read a number of serious warnings that AI is moving more swiftly and with more facility than we can keep up with. What will serious Christian thinkers have to say, and how fast can we say it? What is a theology of AI? Can it create a humanity?

@hubermanlab Two questions I’ve wondered - if 17 accounts of cancer are for 1 drink a week, was it lower for 0 drinks a week? And second - do you know anything to do with non alcoholic beers/wines etc?

For those who still like to argue that alcohol can be beneficial. People are going back to the original studies. And it’s clear that none is definitely better than any. Imbibe if you like, but know what you’re doing. news.stanford.edu/stories/2025/0…

Social media is not helping. It’s forming us in the likeness of 6 lies… — THIS IS HIM — THIS IS YOU — THIS IS THAT — THIS IS THEM — THIS IS NOTHING — THIS IS EVERYTHING youtu.be/SGKknrUiyfU

@smcalpine6 Love this line: We will have to answer weirdness with a deeper and truer weirdness, the weirdness of a risen, ruling Saviour who has defeated the powers, and has swept us up into the safety of the heavenly places by the power of the Spirit.

Tide of Faith or Spiritual Tsunami? stephenmcalpine.com/tide-of-faith-… Here's a question for the church as it stands in the shallows of the post-Christian beach in the West: Are we simply preparing ourselves for an orderly returning tide of faith, or are we preparing ourselves for a returning, tumultuous spiritual tsunami that will upend our practices, challenge our assumptions about reality and refuse our neat categories?

@danitreweek This is pretty random but came from my brother in the theatre space, but put a wet tea towel in the freezer and then once frozen gladwrap around your throat area. I went to an ENT recently though for this issue, breathing when speaking so it’s coming from diaphram not throat.

Preachers/teachers - advice needed. I have a lingering itch in the back of my throat (leftover from a recent virus), which worsens when I talk & results in shallow coughing & weakened voice. I have a heavy speaking load coming up & need tips on how to protect my voice.

The deepest sense in which "God cannot be mocked" is the literal one. You simply cannot plumb a deeper depth than God crucified. Everything since has been laughably tame and woefully out of date.

@danitreweek The damage is done on phones, in apps, via message. History tells us that too. It’s not that we don’t operate with wisdom (we have a similar set-up to the one you described in your old office). But you could easily not meet with someone 1-1, and be messaging them privately.

@danitreweek Thanks for your voice in this space. I appreciated this line: The rule puts him above reproach, while it simultaneously casts her into a default position of stained reproach. One big issue we talk about in our office is how the BGR doesn’t consider technology as enough…

Changing your mind is rare. And it almost never happens in the middle of a conversation. That's not to say we should abandon persuasion, it's just to be clear on how it happens. It happens /after/ — sometimes *long* after — confrontation with an opposing view or lifestyle.
