@dailybritainonx Yes and it causes many problems such as hostility to immigrants perceived as taking homes whereas it`s the empty properties etc. which cause the shortage

MPs are holding a Westminster Hall debate today on the housing needs of young people.
The average house price in the UK is now over £290,000. The average age of a first-time buyer is 34.
One in four young renters spends more than 40% of their income on rent.
Young people are the group most likely to vote Green, most likely to be locked out of the housing market, and most likely to have never owned a home.
Is a Westminster Hall debate the right response to that?

🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer says Brexit has caused ‘deep damage’ to UK economy
“The opportunities we now have to strengthen our security and cut the cost of living are simply too big to ignore.”
The prime minister vowed to help mitigate price shocks caused by the war in Iran by pursuing a “closer economic relationship” with Brussels.
Starmer’s comments came after he was criticised by Reform UK and the Conservatives over a push to align the UK closer with single market regulations set by Brussels in a bill that will feature in the King’s Speech next month.
Government sources are confident the move would be popular with Labour’s membership, which largely skews towards being pro-EU, as well as Brexit-leaning voters.

@dailybritainonx Especially sour for those of us who campaigned to `Remain`

On 23 June 2026, Britain marks ten years since the Brexit referendum. We were promised £350 million a week for the NHS. We were promised the easiest trade deals in history. We were promised sunlit uplands.
Research now shows the economy is 6-8% smaller, business investment fell 18% and 63% of us would vote to rejoin.
