@SkySportsPL Incredible that you’re getting community-noted here. Which idiot intern came up with this graphic? The research is so bad, it’s “please fire me” level bad.

SOME CRAZY STATISTICS FOR YOU ALL • Nico O’ Reilly has more cup final goals than Thierry Henry • Antoine Semenyo has more trophies for Man City in 60 days than Gabriel Magalhaes has in 2,029 days for Arsenal • Mikel Arteta has been at Arsenal for 2,300 days & spent over £1 billion in transfer fees with only 1 trophy to show • Leicester City has won the Premier League, The FA CUP & and the Carabao cup more recently than Arsenal And they laughed at Spurs when Leicester pipped us to the League BANTER CLUB

@InvertTheWing By the looks of it you’ll probably have to write more content on Arsenal to get any eyeballs next season. No one wants to read lower division material which is what your team will be doing next season.

I have been watching this sport for a VERY long time, and throughout my lifetime, I do not think I have seen a team as universally as hated as this iteration of Arsenal. Whether it be the uncharasmatic manager in Mikel Arteta, or the sheer arrogance of players like Gabriel, or the the delusion of the fanbase who’ve not won anything for half a decade, there just isn’t much to like. But for me, you know why I do not like them? Their horrific brand of football. Mikel Arteta went from being one of the most entertaining managers in the league, to a complete snooze who treats this beautiful sport like a rugby match.

@johncrossmirror It’d be funny as fuck if they end up dropping more points at Chelsea after all this big talk.

@EduardoHagn We need more pace and directness on the wings, not cute dribbles and back passes. Neither Trossard or Saka offer that right now. Our wingers don’t make Gyökeres effective at all. He’s being made to do things to over compensate for their lack of directness.

I don’t think Saka-Trossard works much longer for Arsenal. There is no threat on the counter. Yes, there is technical security but in big games against top teams, we will never hurt them when they attack us. Moreover, Gyökeres not being able to beat anyone on pace is sad.

@TikiTakaConnor I hope all the Odergaard critics now realize what he brings to the table in these kind of games where the opposition just sits back and chokes the midfield.

I think whoever played for Arsenal against Man City the result would have been the same. Pep absolutely schooled Arteta tactically. I’ve not seen us so restricted in a long time. So much to learn going into the Etihad match. All part of the process. Get behind the boys.

Very disappointing evening. But if we can learn something from this for the vital away game at Etihad, that’ll be a win. Obviously would’ve been good to get the silverware first, but not the end of the world. Now go on that winning run that you do after a defeat. COYG!

@sds_pod Ask that stupid City fan to tell Pep not to low block their way to a 1-0 tomorrow. Haaland in central defence for 80 mins after City score first. That’s more likely to happen than anything else.

@Carra23 All of us (literally all non-Liverpool fans) also WANTED City to keep beating Liverpool in title races. You really don’t seem to or want to understand a simple concept called Schadenfreude.

It’s not bizarre at all, you say ‘rooting’ for City which I totally understand they don’t provoke the same feelings as others, but people aren’t rooting for City, they WANT them to beat Arsenal! That’s the difference. The column looks at why. Thanks for bringing more traffic👍
Charlie Eccleshare@CDEccleshare

For someone who seems generally to have his finger on the pulse of fan sentiment, this is a bizarre take from Carragher. Neutrals have been rooting for City over teams they care about for basically the last decade. telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

Arsenal has spent £1.40B in the last decade and won zero Champions League trophies. Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola has spent over £1.9B at Manchester City and won the Treble, the Quintuple, four Premier League titles in a row, and one Champions League trophy. Is he still considered a failure?
The Touchline | 𝐓@TouchlineX

🚨 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪: If Pep Guardiola decides to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, he will only have won the Champions League once in 10 years. In those 10 years he has spent over £1.8 billion on players

@Carra23 That’s the whole point with City being the exception to this rule. Nobody neutral really cares about them winning. Their trophies haven’t really mattered due to their means. Nobody is upset by them winning maybe except the fans of the team that lost the title race to them.

Anyone but Man City is not about City, but teams who dominate trophies in general means that most people like to see someone else win. Thank you for bringing more eyes to the (positive!) Arsenal column, this could break records!!!!

This guy genuinely believes that what goes on inside his empty head is a reflection of what’s going on in the wider football world. It was never “anyone but Manchester City” It’s “Anyone but Arsenal” now only because of the incessant bullshit people like him have been spouting all season.

@Carra23 People loved hating on and laughing at Liverpool despite their style & underdog status vs United & later vs City. Gerrard slipping, Kompany’s long range hit these were all iconic moments that rival fanbases enjoyed. Happens when a big club is close to the title after a long time.

@McHighbury He doesn’t realize that until the 2020-21 season began it was also “anyone but Liverpool”. People used to laugh about Liverpool’s constant slips in the quest for their first ever PL title. That’s how banter works with big clubs. City? Well, nobody has cared. Ever.

@TeleFootball @Carra23 Who will tell @Carra23 that literally all non-Liverpool fans were rooting any team that stopped Liverpool from winning their first ever PL title? It’s normal to root against a big club that hasn’t won a title for a long long time. It’ll be United’s turn next.

@rickjones0991 @berliner_bee @MuskCaughtAP Wrong it's solely down to luck that is out of their control. The R16 against Leverkusen is down to their group stage position but the quarter finals is against a team that finishes 7th and they got lucky that it happened to be Sporting instead of any of the other teams around it.
