Stop praising SBF for his investments.
He invested with stolen funds in every deal that came across his desk. Zero risk, playing with stolen money and an endless piggy bank to steal more.
Zero skill, just fraud.

Sam Bankman-Fried is being praised for investments ... but should he be? @scottmelker explains:

In this video, Leo Kellion sits down with Stuart Dunbar. Dunbar is a partner at Baillie Gifford. Baillie Gifford is a massive, independent investment management firm. They focus strictly on long-term growth investing. The firm has no outside shareholders to report to. This private structure allows them to completely ignore short-term market noise. Dunbar uses this interview to explain exactly why their specific style of active, fundamental investing gives them a major advantage right now. He also expands a little on his thesis for $NU and $MEDP.
Real long-term investing isn't about following the crowd. It is about holding great companies when the market is terrified. Right now, uncertainty is everywhere. People are worried about inflation, supply chains, and global conflicts. But this uncertainty creates massive opportunities for growth investors.
When the market panics, it misprices the future. Investors stop looking 3-5 years out. They dump incredible companies just because they hate the current macroeconomic environment. That is exactly when you need to dig your heels in. The true test of a growth investor is having the conviction to look silly in the short term while holding long-term winners.
You have to look at where the real growth is hiding. It is not just in the most famous tech names. The AI revolution is creating a massive infrastructure boom. Companies solving data center bottlenecks are quietly becoming indispensable. Even unglamorous businesses providing temporary construction site structures are seeing massive demand from the massive infrastructure buildout.
You have to deeply know what you own. You must understand a company's competitive advantage and profit margins. Take $NU as an example. It is a wildly profitable digital bank that has captured well over 100M+ customers across Latin America. It operates without the heavy costs of physical legacy banks. Yet, the broader market sometimes prices elite growth engines like NU at a discount simply because of emerging market fears. If you understand the actual fundamentals of businesses like NU, you can buy and hold them through the noise.
Patience is your biggest advantage. Investors need to stop reacting to short-term underperformance and let the underlying businesses compound. Find adaptable companies that will thrive regardless of global politics, and let them do the heavy lifting.

maturing is realizing that FTX was one of the best investors in crypto industry:
> $500M in Anthropic would now be worth roughly $30.4B
> $1B in Solana would now be worth roughly $5.1B
> $648M in Robinhood would be $5.7B
> $100M in Sui would be $1.2B
> $1.15B in Genesis Digital Assets would be $3.5B
> $700M in SpaceX via K5 would be $3B
did some estimates and their total portfolio would be up from $4.7B to $52.5B which is a $47.8B in rise
absolutely nuts
