When asked if he took the post down because of Gaines' and others' criticism, President Trump said no. "I didn't listen to Riley Gaines. I'm not a big fan of Riley, actually."

NEW: Trump explains to @NorahODonnell why he removed the AI image of himself: “Normally I don’t like doing that, but I didn’t want to have anybody be confused. People were confused.” He said he believed the photo depicted him as a doctor, not Jesus. More: cbsnews.com/news/trump-pop…

@TruthTrumpPost it makes sense to frame hemispheric security around energy control, especially when you look at how much reach china and russia are aiming for. keeping supply chains close to home is a practical move.

SEC RUBIO: 🇺🇸🇻🇪🇨🇳 We don't need Venezuela's oil. We have plenty of oil in the United States. What we're not going to allow is for the oil industry in Venezuela to be controlled by adversaries of the United States. You have to understand, why does China need their oil? Why does Russia need their oil? Why does Iran need their oil? They're not even in this continent. This is the Western Hemisphere. This is where we live. We're not going to allow the Western Hemisphere to be a base of operation for adversaries, competitors and rivals of the United States.

@JamesSurowiecki NONE OF IT MAKES SENSE! Door dash to the White House...directly to the President. No secret service...no personal assistant for the President. This is a stunt for ratings after the war/Pope/Strait debacle. They couldn't feign another assassination attempt

This story makes no sense. The wonan says she earned less than $22k last year, which means, depending on her filing status, she owed no federal income tax or a few hundred dollars. And even if all her income had been taxable in the 10 or 12% bracket, no tax on tips would have saved her maybe $1000. That's not nothing, but it's a long way from being enough to pay for cancer treatment and vacations.

@RinainDC @ronaldlirumo How do you ground your argument in INTERNATIONAL LAW, while ignoring the concept of TERRITORIAL WATERS which is covered by INTERNATIONAL LAW

Iran’s persistent objections don’t erase customary international law. Transit passage through the Strait of Hormuz is long-accepted practice binding on all states. No coastal nation gets to charge ‘rent’ or mine a chokepoint carrying 20% of global oil. Iran tried exactly that, and the world rejected it. That’s why the U.S. Navy blockade of Iranian ports is now in force: to enforce free navigation, clear the mines, and stop the extortion. It’s lawful self-defense of the global commons, not aggression. America upholds the rules-based order with strength when others won’t. No more one-sided games

Daily reminder: The Strait of Hormuz does not belong to anyone. It’s there for FREE passage. Iran charging $2million per ship to pass thru the Strait is ILLEGAL.

@sublimeport This is about the nukes, or at least that’s what the American public‘s been told… And if blockades are a normal part of war, then you would think it would American Navy is doing today is just fine. Iran does not need to control the street and has no legal right to do so.

The Strait has been ‘closed’ out of insurance company fears a mobile missile or drone will be fired by the decimated Islamic Iranian regime/IRGC nutcases. They aren’t physically blocking the Strait with naval ships Einstein. And the destroyer got thru the Strait, not heeding warnings from a phone call.

DJ TRUMP JUST DROPPED ANOTHER TRACK!!! He says he sank 158 Iranian ships. Let's assume that's true. Then who is closing the Strait? Who turned your destroyer around with a phone call? Who forced 21 hours of failed talks? Who made you stand outside a locked building and announce you're the one who closed it? You either lied about the 158, or you just admitted Iran doesn't even need a navy to lock you out. Choose whichever answer lets you sleep tonight. The Strait will still be closed in the morning.

Where did I say that? Show me where I said that..... The Iranian 21" torpedo is most likely the Hoot torpedo. Which is a fast torpedo according to Iranian State Media - however, it's never been independently verified. The IRGC Navy claims it can do about 190 knots - thats 4-5x faster than traditional torpedos - however, there's no evidence in the Western intelligence communities to suggest that is true. The 2 greatest limiting factors to this torpedo is its range (at full speed it can't go more than 5 miles) and its delivery system. The Iranian midget subs only have 2 of them - and it has to get dangerously close to a frigate or a destroyer to stand a chance of getting either torpedo off let alone both. Its design appears to be most effective directly in the Straight of Hormuz where it is shallow and mined so there is very little in the way of maneuverability - especially for something like a carrier. American destroyers have a much better than average chance of seeing the midget sub approaching long before it gets there........the chances of getting an accurate shot off is next to none and it is a suicide mission if it does.

Iran has deployed its Ghadir-class midget submarines in the Persian Gulf and near the Strait of Hormuz. A large number of these submarines have been deployed and given clear instructions that if any enemy ship crosses into Iran’s waters, they should immediately destroy it. These submarines are specifically designed to operate in shallow waters, and the United States has no counter to them.

I was laughing so hard when I read that that I spit out my coffee..... These miniature submarines carry 2 21" torpedoes. They can only steam at 10 knots while surfaced and 8 knots while submerged. Iran only built about 20 of them.....they've always been in the southern fleet of Iran.....they weren't moved - they were already there. You guys really suck at propoganda....I mean REALLY suck at it. By the way - you named it very appropriately - the Gaydar class.......

You made one mistake. While the U.S. sent just @VP and the two stooges to Islamabad, you brought a major "entourage." You made yourself look needy, and Trump smelled this. You should have sent simply yourself with two assistants to discuss the terms of (effective) U.S. surrender. Because of this mistake, you will, most likely, face one more phase of escalation (which can go "all the way").
Seyed Abbas Araghchi@araghchi

In intensive talks at highest level in 47 years, Iran engaged with U.S in good faith to end war. But when just inches away from "Islamabad MoU", we encountered maximalism, shifting goalposts, and blockade. Zero lessons earned Good will begets good will. Enmity begets enmity.

Why do you think Trump did this? a. Thought it was a good idea, but was out of touch. b. Actively trying to lose the few supporters he has left. c. He’s demon possessed/Netanyahu made him do it (same thing). What do you think? 👇🏼

🚨BREAKING The Knights Templar Order and its ruling Council demand that this offensive and blasphemous image be removed forthwith ! We supported President Trump in 2016 and 2024 (NY Times attributed our support in 2016 to be part of his victory) However we are deeply offended by this and have no other choice but to condemn it wholeheartedly and ask for a public apology to the Christian brethren who have been deeply upset by this depiction. We respectfully remend President Trump of the Bible Scripture found in Galatians 6:7 "God will not be mocked"
