@bethmitchxx@IT_Miffy_Bunny Hi Beth, please can you send your tickets, and all the information about your journey to customers@lner.co.uk and put in the subject line 'Delay Repay'. Our Customer Solutions team will be able to process this manually for you. ^Nicholas
@LNER my family is stuck in Darlington. They missed the earlier train to York as they’re from os and unfamiliar with the area. Could another train or replacement bus be arranged? If not can they claim hotel costs? We have 2 elderly family members and I’m worried abt the long wait
@LNER@IT_Miffy_Bunny Imagine being sat on a LNER train for 11 hours instead of 4, and your claim is rejected. Laughable. I was on your train long enough, shouldn’t need to mess around for hours trying to get my money back as well.
@LNER@IT_Miffy_Bunny Hi LNER. I had tired to do the delay repay claim, and it comes up that my train was delayed 0 minutes? It was infact delayed 7 hours so now what can I try?
@Sam_Edwards92@LNER@Lozza160 The ‘obstruction’ isn’t in between us and the next station though Sam, its further down, so no you’re still wrong but I can see by your profile you love putting your 2p in where you can. So as long as you’re happy huns
@bethmitchxx@LNER@Lozza160 Yeah, they may be moving now, but they weren’t able to before, so my point still stands. Common sense would’ve told you that a while ago
@Sam_Edwards92@LNER@Lozza160 Funny that Sam, cos trains in front ARE moving to the next station. FINALLY. So you go take your common sense somewhere else 😊
@bethmitchxx@LNER@Lozza160 The line is blocked. Common sense will tell you that trains physically cannot move. We’re all stuck , but there’s nothing lner can do about it. It’s all well and good saying to get to the next station, but it’s not possible until police say it is
@LNER@antheywood@benglaze@BTP I was just on this train got back to Grantham 3 hours later than planned. The staff on board were amazing but we need a better way of dealing with ‘trespassers’ holding up thousands of people. They need to understand there will be serious consequences.
Hi @LNER - any update please on the very delayed 1845 from KC to Middlesbrough, which hasn't moved for at least 25 mins between Peterborough and Retford?
@LNER@IT_Miffy_Bunny Our origin station is London Kings Cross and we’re near Grantham….. surely we’re not heading back there. Take us back to Stevenage and get us off. If the obstruction is in front, move us back 🤷🏻♀️ enjoy paying for my 3 hour taxi 🙂
@bethmitchxx@IT_Miffy_Bunny We are working to move trains back to their origin station, where alternative transport or accommodation can be arranged. Please listen out for announcements.
@LNER@IT_Miffy_Bunny There is surely absolutely no way you are allowed to keep thousands of people stuck on trains for hours, some without seats sat on the floor!!!! with no plan to get us all home. We’ve had 1 bottle of water, 3 announcements in 3 hours of standstill. How can we get compensation?
@bethmitchxx@IT_Miffy_Bunny Staff can also book hotels, but due to the volume of displaced customers, it would be quicker to do it yourself where possible, and then the money reimbursed. No trains are able to move at the moment, we cannot move until we are told it is safe to do so.
@LNER@IT_Miffy_Bunny@LNER And we’re supposed to pay out of our pockets for this initially? Probably wait months for reimbursement. No. Get us moving, get us home, or get us off. You’ve got 1 job. And having no updates and no plans ain’t cutting it
@LNER@Lozza160 How long are we going to be stuck on trains before we either move or get to the next station for these rail replacements? It’s nearly midnight. People have commitments / homes to get to. Sort it out.
@LNER how long must a train be delayed for before a full refund is issued ? And can I claim additional costs due to very high possibility of missing last train home for my connection
@LNER get a grip and do something. 2 hours standstill stuck on a train. People getting aggy, not even in seats!?! Never seen customer service like it 0 updates, 0 effort doing anything, and 0 options on how we actually get home. Sort it out
@LNER WHAT IS GOING ON!? Update your staff. Update us!!!! This is crazy, trapped on a train with 0 info. How are we all going to get home? Move them off the tracks (if that’s the real reason)
@nationalrailenq@darrenrice76 Drag them off the line. This is ridiculous that they’re STILL on the track an hour later. Move them out the way, and talk to them, trains can resume. SORTED 🤯
