This was used, in coordination, by John Brennan and Jim Comey, on Obama's orders, to start the Crossfire Hurricane "investigation" of President Trump himself, and brought the Mueller witch-hunt. The goal was the impeachment and removal of President Trump: Brennan, Comey and McCabe claimed that President Trump was a National Security threat as he installed a Russian asset in the top national security position. Brennan and Comey knew it was completely false, in fact they made it up themselves. But they needed this to remove President Trump, and they didn't care who they hurt in the process.
