@TeleFootball @DKingTelegraph The team usually is breathless by about the 65th minute. They’re completely unfit and lacking match sharpness, which tells you a lot about Slot’s training methods.
English

✍️ 'What those who aired their views want to see is a Liverpool team that runs until it is breathless, tackles and works and does all the things the stadium expects. Without those core values, it is going to remain feeling like that grim New Year’s Day' | Writes @DKingTelegraph

@ptgorst It’s come from sitting back for 10 minutes, not just Mamardashvili.
English

A goal from virtually nothing. Such a poor way to concede from Liverpool's perspective. All came from Mamardashvili smashing a clearance out of play under no pressure. Fofana has been credited with the goal.

@davidlynchlfc We spent 450 million in summer, there’s no excuse for a few injuries.
Klopp used to bring in U18 lads and get a performance from them. Slot can’t get a performance from a team of full internationals. The writing is on the wall, get him gone before another season is wasted.
English

@DKingTelegraph @TelegraphSport Selling our best goalkeeper will just be another excuse he and some journalists will use when the team continues its current demise. Another season of horrendous coaching covered up by the term ‘transition’.
English

✍🏻 Arne Slot will be given chance to lead Liverpool next season but the onus is on to prove himself
⚽️ £2.71m a minute so far for Ekitike, Isak & Wirtz
⚽️ Discussions on reshaping squad. Does Alisson stay? Does Diomande arrive?

@DKingTelegraph @TelegraphSport We were 2-0 down at Anfield in the last competition we still had slight hopes of winning. It was all or nothing, hence the intensity. There’s one reason that every other game this season has been lacking intensity, the manager.
English

The 17th defeat intensifies the pressure on Arne Slot but, for a large period against PSG, there was an intensity to Liverpool’s play. It makes you wonder why the energy and urgency has been absent on so many occasions this season

@LFC Is Slot running the socials now as well? We’re away at City. Can’t even get that right.
English

@JamesPearceLFC Raise the bar? What, from the last six months of dismal performances makes you think we’re all of a sudden capable of raising the bar? Tonight was our level, it has been all season.
English

FT: Galatasaray 1 #LFC 0: A narrow defeat in Istanbul and work to do for Slot's side at Anfield next Wednesday night.
Liverpool should have enough to get through but they will need to raise the bar considerably. Looked worryingly vulnerable defensively and so wasteful in attack
English

@jeremyskidmore @johncrossmirror I’ve always thought the team who finished higher shouldn’t have to win their ties. It’s up to the team who finished below them to beat them in 90 mins. If it’s a draw, the team who finished higher go through. It’s wrong that someone can finish 15 points behind yet win on pens.
English

@johncrossmirror Silly. Generally play-offs are great, but should be weighted. It's a league system and a team finishing 10/15 points behind another shouldn't go in on an equal footing - third placed team start 2-0 up, fourth team 1-0 up.
English

This will cause a lot of debate... but I think the play-offs is one of the very best things of any season. Do I like the idea of club which finishes eighth going up? Not really... but I really like the idea of expanding of the play-offs because it adds to the drama and tension.

English

@KeithCostigan It’s quite ironic what he likes to watch because he coaches the opposite. We may as well stick 11 defenders out in the first half of games because he doesn’t want us to attack.
English

@davidlynchlfc Or the first half. One of dozens Slot is happy to bore into history this season. It’s his making, his decision to play as slowly as they do. These players are capable of so much more.
English

@greggevans40 @OliverKay He’s not looked fit all season. The majority of the squad hasn’t. It looks like poor preparation from the management pre-season.
English

#LFC have lost their balance and the midfield is a concern.
Alexis Mac Allister is down this season on almost all defensive and attacking metrics, and if he can’t play his way into any form, he clearly needs a rest.

@DominicKing_DM Please Dominic. We’ve won six league games since September. It’s not going to happen unless we change manager. We’re sleepwalking into the bottom half of the table.
English

@IanDoyleSport Absolutely not aggrieved. City should’ve been two up at half time, they deserved their win. We’re awful and it’s time you journalists started asking more questions of the manager of a team that spent record numbers this season.
English

Full-time and #LFC can feel a bit aggrieved to have lost. The better team in the second half but small details were made to count #LIVMCI 👇🔴

English

@KeithCostigan We can’t keep giving away 45 minutes every week. We’re not good enough to play for 30 minutes and win. Slot has ran his course.
English

@JDNalton I said at the time, I felt the Kerkez sub was a sub for the sake of making one. Then the same with Frimpong to put Szoboszlai there, who’d had a poor game by his standards. Slot made those choices. His subs have been as bad this season as they were good last.
English

@BassTunedToRed @BrianDurand56 We got what we deserved in every one of those games. We’ve been poor this season. A goal here and there doesn’t change that fact.
