How can health researchers make the most of social media? Here are five tips I shared with @WHO colleagues today: 1. Share your expertise in an understandable way. 2. Know the business models of your social platforms of choice. They want our attention. Create content to keep your audience within the app. 3. Engage. Social media is SOCIAL. Participate in conversations, invite them, and keep those replies going. 4. Your multilingual skills matter. With a globally diverse teams of professionals, the opportunities for sharing multilingual insights is vast. 5. Tailor your social feeds to get the most value within the time you intentionally allocate to social media. By teaming up with Spark Street Advisors, I had the privilege to lead this week two #SocialMedia training sessions for the @HRPresearch colleagues.
