Looked like they were just free-styling it on offense sometimes. Shuler understood coverages as good as anyone I've ever seen. Looked like they were playing a different game together.

The quarterback position at the Marshall University has been home to some of the best QBs of their time & the Thundering Herd has had some remarkable stretches during that time. With guys like Chad Pennington & Byron Leftwich leaving Huntington as the best players in program history. But after Byron Leftwich's last year in 2002. The Thundering Herd had only 3 seasons over being over .500. But then in 2011 a quarterback out of Miami Central High School, just 30 minutes outside the University of Miami, was a high school quarterback that was ending a career where he broke multiple Miami-Dade County passing records. But at 6'0", 160lbs. The Power 5 conferences weren't knocking at his door. But two schools gave him a chance. Florida International & Marshall. The place where was living in Liberty City was a crime infested neighborhood. He needed to be out of there. So Marshall was the answer for him. And boy was it a choice he would never forget. After two seasons where Marshall went 10-12, but Cato showed promise improving greatly after his first year. His completion percentage shot through the roof from 59.9% to 69.5%. His passing yards? Doubled. 4,200 yards passing. 37 TDs to just 11 INTs. In 2013, Cato showed off another part of his game. His wheels. Almost 100 carries and 6 TDs. His mobility was game changing & the three year road was worth it at the end of the day as Marshall finished with their first 10 win season since 2002. 2014 was even better. Cato broke Chad Pennington's single season TD record & finished with the school's all time record in passing yards & touchdowns. Marshall went 13-1 & won their first conference title in 12 years. Rakeem Cato finished the season with a second straight C-USA Offensive Player Of The Year Award & left the university as one of the greatest players that has ever come through Huntington, West Virginia.

A short recap of what we did over the last two weeks. Our route was Boston to Savannah, GA, down the coast and then back up to Clemson: - Swam in a lot of lakes in Pennsylvania because of the heatwave - Watched a pie eating contest in Virginia - Celebrated 4th of July in Washington DC - Relaxed at the beaches in Delaware - Saw wild horses in Chincoteague, VA - Went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina - Had a baby bear block our road in North Carolina - Tried many new fast food chains like Bojangles and Sonic - Ate a lot (probably too much) at Taco Bell - Played minigolf in Myrtle Beach - Visited beautiful cities like Charleston and Savannah - Saw an alligator and a lot more cool wildlife

This is eminently fair by Patrick. And the reason it’s fair — and just speaking for me — is that this show has a history of treating guests and listeners like adults. It’s a sports radio show that has shown journalistic intent and query over a long period of time. I’m sure the league wants the ASG to be the first public Q&A for Cathy Engelbert after a long stretch. Understandable. But this is a forum that would be fair and doesn’t have a history of performative WNBA takes. You could have used it as a test run for the ASG.
