🚨 AUSTRALIAN WOMAN CALLS AMERICA A “CAPITALIST CORPORATE HELLSCAPE” AFTER LEARNING SOME AMERICANS ONLY GET 5 DAYS OF VACATION A woman in Sydney says she was chatting with someone in Los Angeles during a Zoom call when the conversation turned to travel. She told the American she should come visit Australia. The response stunned her. The woman said she couldn’t travel because she only gets five days of leave per year. The Australian says the moment hit her so hard “my bones were shivering.” At one point she even joked she wondered if she should “call the cops.” Because in Australia, the standard minimum annual leave is four weeks. She says the employee she just hired actually gets five weeks and two days off every year. Then she dropped the line that’s now spreading across social media: “America truly is a capitalist corporate hellscape.” She also added something that’s now triggering a huge reaction online: “No wonder Americans don’t leave America.” Now the clip is spreading across social media as people argue about U.S. work culture. Some Americans say five days sadly isn’t unusual depending on the job. Others say they get two or three weeks, sometimes more. Is America’s work culture actually broken… or are people from other countries missing the full picture?

@etherianfriend @HustleBitch_ You do realize Australian companies are paying their employees a lesser salary to account for this right? I mean, you don’t actually think the work that needs to get done just disappears because someone goes on vacation? You have to hire more people to cover them

I asked my girlfriend if she was cool with having kind of a chill laidback Valentine’s Day and she was like “oh, of course!” and then she immediately started typing a paragraph message in her girls groupchat that I saw started with the phrase “you won’t believe what he-”

Most of Australia's current problems can be dated back to the years between 1996 and 2007. We know who was the Prime Minister during that period.

@Buccoatthecat @T_upnation @RobertStevenso9 It’s really not a lazy argument, the whole system is being uphold so boomers don’t loose their retirement funds because all of their money is tied into their homes, it’s all because Howard made housing an investment instead of a right

@T_upnation @RobertStevenso9 Sorry dude but high immigration is such a smaller piece of the pie, it’s going to take way larger reform then simply slowing immigration, the whole idea of housing being an investment is the source of all of this

Negative gearing is one piece of the puzzle, right now the major driver is high immigration pushing up demand on a market low on supply. To fix the issue completely first we would have to significantly reduce immigration. Then I think maybe a grandfather reform on negative gearing.

@T_upnation @RobertStevenso9 At the end of the day, if we want to see improvement they need to fuck with negative gearing, no one will vote for that and so they’re hamstrung.

@RobertStevenso9 Yes but to say it’s all the LNPs fault while ignoring the fact Labor has had ample time to sort the issue out is just plain cheerleading.

@avri1082781 @ick_real Lol. No. Each job gets massive amounts of applicants from online, so any that they don't even look at them. Especially since when they do set up to interview, the Iverson who applied doesn't even show up. It's a viscious cycle. Trust me. Person to person is always the way to go.

@bigjackman76 @luke_amott @strangerous10 It is maybe a couple hundred to a few thousand since 1990. Many statistic groups that do gun stats count gang crime, 18-20 year old bracket and suicides which even Australia doesn’t count. Once those are removed the numbers drop significantly. People use emotion for gun control.

I wonder if One Nation would still be rising in polls if media bothered to question the fringe views they stand for Climate denial, against LGBTIQ+, against women’s rights, abortion Or when they tried to funnel $ from NRA to weaken gun laws Hype would be over pretty fast #auspol

@luke_amott @strangerous10 I owned a gun in AU and never killed anyone. My family owned guns that were essentially family heirlooms that are now destroyed by your policy. You clearly never owned a gun or ever been close to any gun culture before. It is awesome and safer than no gun culture.

@Bruh2042429 @aaboom16 Brother if you were running a daycare and someone WITHOUT a kid but with a camera comes in to “sign their kid up”, wtf would you do, clearly he was there under false pretences. And I’m not even saying there’s 0 fraud there going on, but Nick definitely didn’t expose it.

@aaboom16 I'm genuinely confused as to why you think there wasn't some kind of fraud going on, I get the point you're making but he literally was going up there trying to enroll his "child" into the daycare and they didn't allow it. Zero communication and just aggression from them.

@Loud_Lass Reality check is that Albo did not win 94 seats (majority based on preferences from other parties) and will definitely NOT win any more in the next election. And if we are talking about buying people, Albosleazy gives OUR tax payer money to every Tom, Dick and Harry before us!!!
