@LUDENClassics A bin lorry did that to my daughter’s car and didn’t realise. Drove off without noticing.

@AutoInfatuation Try Forest Holidays in the UK or CentreParcs in Belgium/France.
English

We are looking at getting away at least twice this year ideally. One of those needs to be a Centre Parcs type 3/4 night break for me, my Wife and our two children who will be 5 and 2. The other will be a sunshine all inclusive type easy package holiday.
Happy to stay in the UK but it needs to be further afield as in Northumberland into Scotland or much, much further down the country i.e Cornwall etc.
Happy to Ferry over to Ireland etc too ⛴️
Thinking possibly Europe also but a bit more planning needs to go into a trip like that obviously 🤔🌳
Any recommendations appreciated…
Based in East Anglia for reference.

@markjohnoneill Yes, we get warnings, but they seem to go on forever! I can use the battery longer with the warnings than without!
English

@bignell_s And no warning either? I’m used to the range of a key getting poorer at batteries start to drain. I’d also heard there should be a warning on dash when battery low, but haven’t had any indication.

@Jamesonthebench I had somebody buy a washing machine from me and they collected it in a Smart car! It fit in fine!!

@JumbledNick @de_havas Bought one in October for my son to learn in and have just had the rear shocks changed at 77k.
English

@de_havas how are the rear shocks? Mine is at 70k and they’ve developed a knock that neither me or any local garage can sort out
English

@Seatz37 I currently have an F11 535d Touring and a Golf GTI but considering one of these as a replacement to both. Looks lovely.
English

@de_havas @hjwakerley I second this! Just bought one for my son to learn in and I keep using it myself!
English

@hjwakerley VW Up! At the higher end a used VW Up GTi or at the lower end a VW Up Street. I absolutely swear by the VW Up. Cheap & reliable to run. I should know as our Up Street (excellent model 2015/16 comes with loads of extras) which we have had from new is just about to hit 135k miles.

I have been looking for a daily for a year.
I cannot afford to take my 1989 wagon into London anymore and fighting over the i3 is now a frequent occurrence.
End. Of. Tether
Help.
😭🫠😑🫥😵💫
Helen@hjwakerley
Buying a practical daily is really dreadful, it goes against every instinct I have. Please save me from it. Cheap to buy and run (45mpg+ £4k max) ULEZ friendly. Reliable. Any size. As interesting as you can make it.

@LUDENClassics Couldn’t miss those red wheels on the M25 earlier! Hope you were not stuck in the queue for the bridge for too long.

@sarajcox 1990. Posh girl told me she had a boyfriend when we got home!
English

@el_drapo It’s my kids opening the doors that I’d be worried about!

@MintyGts Saw the blue one at FOS I think and the white one on the way back home, it was front and centre of their forecourt!
I sold mine in 2002 and practically gave it away!
