Poland was really lucky that no one assisted it or sent it armaments in 1939 so that the war ended quickly and people stopped dying unnecessarily.

@SenSanders For the first 140 years of the republic the United States of America had exactly zero interest in the internal affairs of other nations, especially Europe, as per President Washington’s recommendation. We must return to our path.

For 250 years, the United States has supported democracy. Now, in the middle of a horrific war that Putin started, Trump is turning his back on Ukraine and democracy, all to the benefit of a brutal dictator in Moscow.

Not sure why I have to say this, but as a Christian, not caring for others, much less cheering their suffering or deaths, isn't really an option we've been given.

Is it possible to believe all of the following? - Russia was the aggressor. - Zelensky heroically defended his country and unexpectedly held on to Kyiv and much else. - But the war cannot be "won" by Ukraine so a negotiated peace is needed. - Zelensky needs to accept that. - European nations deserve blame for depending on American weapons and Russian gas. - Trump and Vance behaved pettily, foolishly and rudely last week. - It's not liberal to want war. - It's not wrong to want to end war.

@pastorclint Thank you, Pastor Clint. We must reinforce our confessional boundaries in every generation. It is difficult, even painful, but you are the man God has appointed for this time for us. Praying for you.

My understanding is that our Credentials Committee deemed a church in friendly cooperation that has a female teaching pastor. The committee needs to take another look at this one. Our statement of faith is clear about qualifications for a pastor.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST I met the parents of a young man, I'll call Ty, at an absolutely packed prayer service with Pastor Jim Cymbala who was visiting our church recently. It was an amazing encounter when Pastor Jim asked all the men to come forward, he later said this was unplanned. The front filled up fast and we were backed up in the aisles. He asked us to pair up with the man closest to us, and pray for each other's family member who may need to hear the Gospel or perhaps is in distress. The guy in front of me, I'll call him Jack, turned around and told me about his 22 year old son Ty who is transgendered for eight years now, and is going to Europe soon to have irreversible surgeries. Jack was in tears and he and his wife, who I will call Jill, are so heartbroken and distraught over this. After I prayed withhim, Jack was stunned when I told him I was trans for 30 years and how when I heard the Gospel, God's Grace redeemed me and the Holy Spirit transformed me... and the tears flowed again, from both of us. I grabbed a couple fellas from my men's group and our Pastor and we all prayed together. Jack and Jill are from a town almost an hour north of us and this was their first time at Calvary Church here in Clearwater, and they sure had no idea they would meet me. They were both so grateful that we all were there to pray with them. Jill contacted me yesterday to say they are going to see their son in Tallahassee tomorrow, so I'm mustering all the forces I can to be praying about this. Please pray for their strength and boldness and that God will soften Ty's heart and give him ears to hear. I can't believe that our encounter was just a coincidence and we want a victory on this, so I'm counting on you all. What if told you there were more normative size SBC churches in USA (under 100 in worship)then there are McDonald’s and Starbucks combined. The Normative size church is in someways a sleeping giant. May God awake this giant to a movement of Gospel driven,outward focused ministry

@PerfInjust I am unfamiliar with this concept. My view is that God’s people are always apologizing to me for not being Baptist, since the sacred text always agrees with us. 😉

One of the many downsides to the Baptist persecution complex is that they consider widespread disagreement of their views as confirmation of those views.
