@Pheenix_Born @mkmore4 @Bigqadi Here’s another scenario: you worked hard, you saved some money, and you finally started a business. It was popular! You did great! Made profits, had reserve capital, and then the lockdowns hit, your operating costs went up 40% while revenues dropped 80%. Now you’re bankrupt.

Again, all you got is low level insults, something I have not done. If you want to debate, cool let’s debate. But alas, that is your default case statement, hurl them names 😂. You are in control of far more, and excuses will only ever hold you back. Doesn’t matter what boat you’re in, you’re still the captain.

@Pheenix_Born @mkmore4 @Bigqadi And before you reply, you’ve obviously missed that I am not talking about my own personal situation. Again, I’m trying to explain to you that not everyone is in the same boat.

@Pheenix_Born @mkmore4 @Bigqadi Ok, so you’re speaking in vague terms. Let’s pretend you grew up in a trailer park, you have 2 kids, no degree, and 100% of your income is now going to cover basic necessities, because the cost of living went up way more than your salary. Give an exact plan.

@Pheenix_Born @mkmore4 @Bigqadi The only thing you see me doing is attempting to explain things to you. But I’d have better luck teaching my dog calculus, because you aren’t able to comprehend that not everyone is in the same boat as you.

@BikersonLive @mkmore4 @Bigqadi I could care less 😂 but if you want to win, do what winners do. If you want to lose, keep doing what losers do. Which is exactly what I see you doing here. If you spent just as much time focusing on the winners, your situation would likely improve. But you do you boo boo.

@BikersonLive @skumWgmi You’re such a victim! This couple could make way more, not spend $1000 on cars, etc… I’m a millennial and own 6 houses. I don’t blame others, I work toward goals. If you struggle it’s your own fault. There’s so much money out there. 🐈

@RedPillMediaX Boomers did not have it easy. You Zoomers conveniently overlook 15% inflation, 14% mortgage interest, and $1.75/hr minimum wage when you make these assertions. I’m all for saying the market sucks, and blaming the POLITICIANS for selling us out, but getting mad at boomers?

The myth that boomers simply “worked harder” than Generation Z is simply ridiculous. In 1974, this home was worth $18,500. Today, that same house is worth $485,000, almost 30x as much. Meanwhile, the average American salary has only tripled since 1974. Boomers had it easy.

It’s not a battle. I’m fine. Lots of people have figured it out, and somehow you haven’t. It’s a you problem not everyone else problem. Period. The end. The best you got is a reference of a single job posting in Chicago….you clearly don’t understand sample size, margins of error, and all those other pesky statistic tools. You can’t extrapolate out an entire country and every experience based on a singular job posting you found. Talk about a manufactured reality, JFC 😂😂😂

Every BOOMER with this take should look up the job they had in their 20s. Find the median pay for that job NOW. If you went to college make sure to include the cost of student loan repayments NOW. Include the cost of insurance NOW. Then look up the EXACT SAME first house you bought and let me know if you can buy it NOW. OTHERWISE STFU ABOUT THE DISCUSSION
Lee in Iowa@Lee_in_Iowa

Boomer here. I bought my first house after ten years of saving like crazy. And the interest was 14.5%. I don’t know where kids got the idea that they were due a house and new car at college graduation, but that’s NOT how it ever was.

@chicfryrice I see facts are triggering you again. Dont get me wrong, the current situation sucks. But it was politicians that sold you out. Not middle class Boomers that worked their whole life, and made it work despite massive inflation and interest hikes in their 20’s…

@WISHBONETRUCKER There is no truck driver shortage. It’s all a game to justify lower wages, driven by corporate greed. If there were truly a shortage of drivers, wages would reflect that. But they are lowest in history.

@DudeWhoInvests They also survived mass inflation in the mid to late 70’s, along with outrageous interest rates. MSNBC won’t tell you that part though. Instead of getting mad at the people who worked their asses off, get mad at the politicians that fucked you over.

@PhillyCSteak1 @skumWgmi Oh, but you’re completely overlooking the face that the “median” income is heavily skewed towards zip codes where the cost of living is higher. You’re trying to compare low cost zip codes cost of living to high cost zip codes income. Apples to oranges.

@skumWgmi Not average. Average is inflated by high cost zip codes. More like $2k mortgage, $800 car payments, insurance $200. Mortgage includes home insurance and prop. taxes. That's $3K.

@LogicalBubble @skumWgmi Blah blah bullshit…. Median isn’t a real number. It doesn’t reflect what people are actually making in one market versus another, and it it skews heavy towards the top 10% of people making way more than the average household.

I was told I am entitled and spoiled. Why should my taxes pay for boomer benefits? It’s not my fault they paid into a faulty system. If all boomers are avid savers then they shouldn’t need social security or medicare and can pay their own way. Why should my generation or younger care what happens…if they don’t care if a family of 4 is homeless.
