My 50 states book for Georgia was ‘Memorial Drive’ by Natasha Tretheway. 5/5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Reading a book set in each of the 50 states. Here is the New Hampshire book. 4.5/5 ⭐️ for this one! Excellent way to begin this project.

A few people have asked about the release date of my next book. Normally, on Twitter, authors post about their successes: amazing deals, TV options, top 10 chart positions. I’d like to talk about failure . . . (a bit of a thread)

I’m a quarter of the way through “Mother of Pearl” by Melinda Haynes. It’s a well-written book, but there’s so many plot lines that come at you in no defined structure. It’s hard to keep it straight. Hoping it coalesces as the novel continues.

Started a project today that will probably never be finished but I live it all the same.

Just finished Memorial Drive by Natasha Trethewey. Easiest 5⭐️s I’ve given in a long time. I’m literally flabbergasted by how perfectly rendered that memoir is. It’s not “a reading.” It’s a full body experience.

Someone missed me when I was in Manhattan for three days and two nights. It is the longest we have been apart since we brought her home in February 2020.
