ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Why is hating Indians becoming so normal everywhere? From Canada and Australia to the UK, USA, and Europe, Indians are constantly mocked, insulted, and stereotyped. We're called scammers, job stealers, and worse. Indians work in your hospitals, build your tech, run businesses, and study at your universities. Yet many people judge over a billion people based on a few bad examples. The same people who preach diversity and inclusion often stay silent when Indians are the target. Criticize individuals if they deserve it. But treating all Indians like garbage is nothing but racism. And racism doesn't become acceptable just because the target is Indian.

Fact: Shi probably refers to city hukou (shimin in Chinese). A city dweller is explicitly NOT someone who works in the fields. In fact, a Shi hukou owner is not allowed to own land, or rather, as land isn't owned in China, no land is alotted or rented out to people with a Shi hukou. It wouldn't even be possible, if it wasn't so absurd.
As for the video: Chinese humor is strange. Look at the Mantou chain beneath his mouth, like the carrot and stick metaphor.

This is the reality of communism in China.
Ancient China use to have a caste system. "Shi" people were at the top. "Shang" people and "Jianmin" people were at the bottom.
In 1958, the Hukou system permanently classified Chinese citizens at birth based on their ancestral region and family origin.
Urban or Upper Class Hukou: Holders of urban household were put in this category. They enjoy better social welfare, superior healthcare, higher pensions, and better public schooling for their children. Most of the upper class "Shi" people belong to this category.
Rural or Lower Class Hukou: Rural residents and migrants were put in this category. They face systemic barriers their whole life. They have limited access to urban social safety nets, making it difficult to buy property or legally settle in major cities without substantial bureaucratic hurdles. Most for the lower class "shang" and "jianmin"" people belong to this category.
