If considering an #EV, regarding tyres, you DO NOT need EV specific tyres. sure they might help with some noise, but they are NOT a requirement. you can replace them with normal tyres of correct sizes.

We can also afford to not have an RUC or fuel excise. Taxes which target lower income people who tend to live further from work & public transport infrastructure.
But instead, we subsidise the fossil fuel industry & give away our natural resources.

The grid experiences far more load when it's hot & everyone is running 15kW of airconditioning in peak times.

If there were other long trips be a good case to buy a hybrid. The diesel cost for the trip would be at least a grand at the moment. Ouch.

If you drive Sydney to Melbourne daily, then no charging at home probably isn't the best bet.
But 900kms, drive halfway, charge for 30 minutes while you rest for safety and drive on.

@ev_australia So, by this logic, if I were to drive from Sydney to Melbourne, I would need to return home to charge once the battery was depleted, meaning that I would never actually complete the journey.
