@SleeperNats They didn’t sign any real pitching because Lerners won’t approve even league average budget. Not that confusing.

The Nationals have blown a 5-1 lead. Everyday that passes with no change makes me question what Paul Toboni is doing… #Natitude

Wild that huge swathes of the American left have a huge problem with Pete Buttigieg's stint as a management consultant with McKinsey but not Graham Platner's work as a Blackwater mercenary.

Do you give Paul Toboni a “pass” for having a bad bullpen in a rebuilding year? Or is it still a problem? #Natitude

@MarkZuckerman Ownership was uninterested in fielding a passable team, including even modest but meaningful bullpen investment. Shouldn’t be any confusion on why attendance and viewership remain down and they’ll never get anything close to their inflated valuation. Horrible situation for fans.

This was kind of the worst-case scenario if you're Washington: Fans are booing at Nats Park, and Miles Mikolas exits in the fifth inning with a runner on second and 10 runs on his ledger.

I am supposed to fly out of BWI tomorrow which means the rest of my life is now a mystery. Do I wait in line for 7 hours? Stay in Baltimore forever? Hitchhike? Live off the land indefinitely? The joys of living in Trump’s America!

@krystalball Your suggestion is that the Democratic base is very into Hassan Piker (and knows who he is)? Would be very interested to see some polling on that.

Correct. And the current astroturfed Hasan freakout is precisely because Dem elites know that they can no longer control the base.

“I’m a megaphone, right?” @hasanthehun tells me. “There are a lot of Barbs and Deborahs out there in Minneapolis, for example, that have never encountered me, and yet they share that frustration with the failures of establishment liberalism all the same.” politico.com/news/2026/03/2…

@Sherveen @patrickc @conor64 I’m done with you now, you’ll nitpick everything, while moving goal posts and demanding endlessly more of me, offering nothing yourself. There’s no need for me to convince you or any other idiot — most get it now and we’re living in the wreckage of the mistakes I’m talking about

@bipothemo @patrickc @conor64 I don't see a problem here? And I already replied to you elsewhere. The "media" link you sent isn't "media" except in the same sense as you and I are media. x.com/Sherveen/statu…

@bipothemo @patrickc @conor64 Okay? What's your problem with this? She's not allowed to have this opinion? (for the record, the Forbes author doesn't accept it uncritically -- they literally question it as the next subject, and take a subjective position, because they're a contributor, not a journalist)

A question for everyone: survey data suggests that by the end of the Covid-19 emergency trust in public health institutions had decreased significantly. If you are among the people who reacted that way, why specifically? I'm hoping for long, diverse, individualized answers.

@Sherveen @patrickc @conor64 Goalposts really moving now. You asked for a specific example of public health/media/dem coordination related to this issue that ultimately significantly undermined trust in these institutions and I gave it to you. Deny it all you want, damage has been done for a long time now.

@Sherveen @patrickc @conor64 The information you seek, and the argument I am making, has been widely discussed and disseminated a thousand times over. I’m not writing you an article. If this isn’t just bad faith bullshit on your end, which I know it is, feel free to look into it on your own time.

Who is "they"? Seriously, you aren't engaging with my point. For a second, pretend you don't *have* to disagree with me, and let's see if we can even observe the same reality. My point is that there *isn't a they* -- therefore you get downstream policies disconnected from where experts are at on the issue. Ex. a doctor doesn't get to decide what happens at a beach, even though a doctor might be put on stage during a health conference or a different doctor might be in a lab studying the disease or a different doctor might be looking at public health data from a state's hospital systems. So when you say "they," who are you *specifically* talking about?

@Sherveen @patrickc @conor64 Yes the point is they selectively reached a relative consensus for one thing and the whole apparatus magically became “integrated” to declare that fine. But I understand you are in the convincing people they ACTUALLY remember wrong business.

@bipothemo @patrickc @conor64 AGAIN, many health practitioners were already moving toward outside = fine at this point, even though it wasn't widely integrated since *NONE OF THIS* was widely integrated, because it involves a docs/science --> public health apparatus --> policymaker/media --> people stream.
