Extensive groundwork, infrastructures, "outposts" plans. Destruction, expulsion, replacement. This is a settler colonial genocide and the aim is to establish permanent land control over all of Gaza.

Finally, @samar42 brings us the book on the Forever War we always needed -- one that takes as its point of departure the global south states that do most of the work of violence. sup.org/books/politics…

The State Department says it does not know how many trucks have entered Gaza over the past 30 days, despite demanding that Israel allow 350 trucks daily or face policy consequences. And in a notable shift, the spokesman characterized the demands in the letter as simply “suggestions for Israel to take.” BBC’s @tombateman pressed further, reporting that the UN says only 37 trucks have entered each day—about one-tenth of what was requested: “Have the Israelis ended the isolation in the north?” Patel: “They have taken steps to restore deliveries in the north in areas surrounding Jabalia..” Bateman (interjecting): “You said surrounding Jabalia. But not in Jabalia… the besieged area where the UN says 100,000 people are trapped. There’s been no food, no water, there’s been daily and repeated denials of humanitarian convoys…” Patel: “I will not go down a rabbit hole of a specific tit-for-tat on each item...” Bateman: “As far as I can see from what you’ve said today, absolutely nothing that you’ve asked for is actually happening.”

When it’s put so succinctly the racism is glaring. The liberal multicultural mask of white supremacy is completely off and there’s no seeking refuge in Europe as a political project.
Mouin Rabbani@MouinRabbani

The most telling reality regarding the recent events in Amsterdam is that not one member of the Dutch power elite - neither its monarch, nor its prime minister, nor its government or any of its ministers, nor any party leader, nor the mayor of Amsterdam, nor its police chief, nor any of its leading journalists or commentators or public figures or civic institutions - has uttered a single word in support of a single Dutch citizen assaulted by foreign mobs on Dutch soil. Rather, like other Western leaders, this elite has uniformly reserved its solidarity for the racist, genocidal Israeli thugs who rampaged through Amsterdam, physically assaulting Dutch citizens and vandalizing Dutch property, on the sole basis that they assumed these citizens and properties to be Arab or in sympathy with the Palestinian people. The self-proclaimed guardians of The Netherlands and the security of its people then added insult to injury by comparing the resulting attacks against the visiting fascist thugs to the darkest days of Dutch history, entirely oblivious to the reality that it is in fact they who have collectively legitimized the closest thing to a pogrom witnessed on Dutch soil since 1945. Welcome to twenty-first century Europe, and to The Netherlands in particular.

I’ve been meeting with @SarahJama_ over the last few months trying to understand the support she has with people. It is passionate and considerable. What transpired was wrong. That it happened in the “progressive” NDP is disturbing. ICYMI open.substack.com/pub/margaretsh…

This is a video of me burying my 11 cousins. During the genocide in, the act of burial has become a painful experience that has lost all its traditional meaning. we are forced to quickly bury our loved ones in makeshift graves. Important customs like communal mourning, prayers, and the gentle preparation of bodies have been replaced by a sense of urgency and deep despair. The traditions that once offered comfort and meaning in times of grief are now swallowed by chaos and the relentless sound of bombings, leaving us to mourn in an environment of unbearable sorrow.

My sit down with the indefatigably exacting and erudite @FranceskAlbs. What an honour it was to speak with her. She is holding a mirror to the world right now & many don’t like the reflection; including the Canadian government. FULL INTERVIEW 👉 youtu.be/5-IM3O9laLc?fe…

Today entering Gaza City. The ruins of life. A donkey laying dead attached to a cart with someone’s possessions. Clusters of people crossing to the South, with too much to walk with under the sun and given the length of the journey. A man carrying a white flag in front of his family. Women about to collapse, dragging bags over the ground, walking backwards, stopping and closing their eyes. A man on the ground in underwear, with soldiers near the checkpoint. A woman presumably crossing with him, stalled, distraught, in desperation. They passed by these ruins. #Gaza #CeasefireNOW
