So instead of obsessing over sitting correctly Focus on this: 1. Sit comfortably. 2. Lean back sometimes. 3. Stand up often. 4. Move frequently. And for god's sake, get healthier and confident. Your spine was designed for movement, not military discipline.

Here's what these companies will never tell you about posture : Human bodies also come in different shapes. Ribcages, Pelvis bones, Clavicle bones, etc. are of different sizes for different people. Also, posture is not only structural. Posture is a result of three things: 1. Your skeletal structure 2. Your muscles surrounding the bones 3. Your self esteem and mood you’re in (most important) Low confidence and insecurities can rarely be hidden. It reflects in your posture and how you carry yourself

High time companies should stop targeting the insecurities of Indians and make money off it. 1000 ₹ Posture corrector. No clinical evidence that it works. But someone made a business out of it. Here's the reality : 1. There is no good and bad posture. Perfect posture is a myth. 2. Your spine is not meant to be perfectly straight. Your spine naturally maintains curves of about 30°. It is designed to bend, twist and move in all directions. Sitting rigidly at a strict 90° angle forces several muscles to constantly stabilize your spine: • erector spinae (back muscles) • core stabilizers • hip flexors 3. On top of that, research clears it for us: Posture ≠ pain. People with perfect posture still develop back pain. People who slouch often don’t. Pain is multifactorial. It depends on things like: - The context of the injury - Your beliefs about pain and adversities in life - Your physical + mental resilience - Social support - Your monetary status - Gender - Sleep - Stress - Nutrition The real problem is -> staying in one posture too long " But Rachit, why do I feel better when I sit upright after a long time?", Because any posture, upright or slouched becomes stressful if you hold it for hours. Your body finally moved and changed the load mechanics on previous muscles/joints. Movement matters far more than posture perfection. 🔽

Once you start eating healthy, there is no going back! You hate putting junk inside your body... You can witness the visible changes on your body and mind... Your mood gets better, your gut feels lighter, and your face becomes clean - no acne, nothing. And the best part is, you feel energetic, sleep quality improves, and your mornings feel calmer.

@birafit1 The idea is to have a balanced meal, which is available with our own dishes & our own produce. Every region has a balanced meal. The grass is always greener in the neighbour's garden.

Vietnam taught me something India keeps missing about food. There are problems with Indian food. This is me eating a bánh mì (a french baguette turned into Vietnamese sandwhich) filled with vegetables and some meat. Almost every staple dish there (pho, spring rolls, stir-fries) is loaded with vegetables + a solid protein source by default. A pho (filled with noodles, soup, meat and vegetables) is so satiating that you don’t need anything for 3-4 hours. Plus it’s super low in calories. Protein + vegetables isn’t a ‘health choice’ there. It’s just how food is built. That’s the difference. Indian food isn’t unhealthy because of spices or tradition. It’s unhealthy because it’s grain heavy, vegetable less, protein optional and overcooked. Too much rice or roti. Too little fiber. Vegetables boiled to a point where they lose a lot of their nutrients. When balance is built into the cuisine, people don’t need discipline. When it isn’t, people need constant control. Health isn’t just personal responsibility. It’s a cultural design.

@MonicaK2511 Sure. Can you tell me a proper regional thali? The idea is to not eat Vietnamese food. The idea is to take away good things from it and embed in our desi food

@birafit1 Look at a proper regional thali. It is balanced & without the meat too. Climate plays a role as does traditional work. Every region has food suited to various factors. If you like vietnamese food eat it there.

@birafit1 Lions taught me something India keeps missing about food. Their only diet is only red meat. No chicken or egg and zero vegetables. Yet they are healthy and no heart issues too. Lean mean athletic body. We are eating too much grain/vegetables.

@birafit1 In India food is not just a taste. It's matter of faith, culture and religion. You can eat meat with no regrets, good for you. But don't expect others to have same level of cruelty. Atleast once don't just think about urself first.

@ThResponsibleIN @birafit1 Ok what about vegetables then? More than 90% of the time it's just potato or grains/chana. Not to mention that there's a shit ton of potatoes even in vegetable dishes. Even in thalis there's few good vegetable items.

@naaperusai You are bang on. Trans fats are dependent on types of fat used, cooking techniques and repeated frying.

@birafit1 💯 Most cuisines I’ve tried have this balance of protein, fibre and carbs. something I’d like to add to your post is the amount of trans fat that’s present in the food. India should consider revisiting its food composition.
