@video4me @fctsMttrLsShttr @giveashitnature Mine gave me 100's last year, most them ripened in a two week period. I could get into bottling or invest in a bigger freezer, the neighbours did take a few bucketfuls. This tree is around forty years old, it was overgrown and unproductive but is much improved with pruning.

This is what we’ve done to something as simple as a pear.
Grown in Argentina.
Packed in Thailand.
Sealed in plastic.
Floated across oceans.
Sold halfway around the world.
We’ve turned fresh fruit into a global supply chain that burns fuel, creates waste, and doesn't even taste like the actual fruit anymore.
Why can't we just grow and package our pears here?

@lizardschwartz Back in my 1980s Zookeeper phase, we where the first to captive breed these in the UK. I haven't seen one for many a year, find a hen if you can I always loved their eyes.

I had to delete the 4 day week tweet because it blew up too viral, the negativity was insane and I refuse to actually and actively invite negativity on to my timeline, it’s just asking for trouble. So it’s deleted, nothing nefarious just too much! I still stand by what I said ❤️

One of the many clothing banks round here. It's a defunct charity on the email, any emails bounce back as mailbox full. They rarely empty so it gets dumped by it. I gather it up and take it to larger ones elsewhere. Sick of this, can't get anything done
