don't have an explanation for the algo changes, but i will say, as someone who has been using lists + x pro for a while now, i have never felt disturbed by the algo. i have a list for art accounts, a list for ai accounts, a list for everything else, etc and as long as i'm using lists, and not the for you or following tabs, i pretty much see the posts of the accounts i follow in real time in chronological order.

Following up on @icobeast’s and @Chilearmy123’s recent posts, I made a video about how X seems to be self-destructing via algo changes. Anyone understand why?

The “we need unrestricted immigration for blue collar labor” argument was always flimsy (net impact of chain migration is fiscally negative) but it’s completely and irretrievably false now. Except now we have 30m imminently unemployable illegal residents who will strain social services

But what of the argument that copy trading is CT's version of a republic. Majority don't have an edge, so we the majority are better off casting our lot with the authority. Lately the best trades I've taken were by just buying what certain accounts on X were discussing. In effect, my trades were a bet not on the ticker alone, but on the quality of the X account discussing the ticker.

vitalik makes the [great] case that democracy could not function without privacy I'd go further and say that markets can not function without privacy markets, like democracies, need secret ballots — private intent, public outcome as an example, consider the idea of copytrading if one person with size (or authority) makes a trade to express their view of the market, others copy the trade (with varying size) so the market ends up representing not the aggregated view of individuals but the authority of fewer sources if you zoom out and amplify the effect, you get reflexivity affecting the entirety of the market and since the markets are correlated in many cases (especially in crypto), this ends up distorting everything as the world gets more connected, more and more people get influenced by narrative and hence copytrade privacy preserves information entropy in systems of coordination transparency reduces entropy, increases correlation, and naturally reduces signal diversity, which then degrades collective intelligence, which is the lifeline of markets individual trades and where they originate from should be private, and their aggregate result should be public, otherwise markets don't converge on collective wisdom no analogy will really work here since this is the first time in history where markets have become this connected and reflexive (largely thanks to crypto)
