I'm not sure what clearer expression of cypherpunk action you can get—especially in this fight against censorious FOSS co-opters who don't understand the F means free as in freedom, not free as in beer—than carving the detection module out of an unlicensed repo designed for censorship, and reversing its intended function to instead support open engagement and networking. So yes: get yoinked, cyphercuck.

It’s been 48 hours and none of the “cypherpunks” claiming they’re the “real cypherpunks” seething at the EF’s cypherpunk mandate have forwarded any criticism of the problematic association of cypherpunk with milady other than milady not thought policing homophobia, transphobia, racism, etc. etc. as if our acceptance of free speech and rejection of their censorship isn’t the proof on itself who actually subscribes to the freedoms inherent to crypto, and who violates them for other priorities. It might be surprising to hear it but you might be the heckin’ nazis here.

crypto started out as a cypherpunk dream, but what started out as a powerful beast akin to a wolf is now as inbred as a fucking french bulldog. it's a caricature of what it was; what it could be. there are very few people left keeping those cypherpunk values alive... and they're all milady. there is a reason Vitalik chose a milady PFP, it's because the core ethos of milady resonates with his personal cypherpunk values. the bored ape mind can't comprehend it. the cryptopunk mind can't comprehend it either. they all forgot the roots of the space they spend the majority of their time in. in fact, most of them never cared about any values; they cared about money, fame, and optics. their "personal brand" is more important than anything else. the majority of people going against milady can barely spell cypherpunk, much less comprehend cypherpunk values. even when the goldenlight shines upon them, they choose to remain in darkness. they will use AI to do the thinking for them and write articles about how "remilia is 60 years behind" because remilia built on a wide body of philosophy. "grok please try to cancel them but don't use any problematic language because i don't want bad optics for my personal brand" they don't have their own opinions because they are afraid how people might react to them. not being cancelled is more precious than standing up for what they once believed to be right, so they self censor out of fear of being cancelled. they willingly turn themselves into NPCs. they don't speak out against censorship or digital IDs. they cheer on corporate adoption and VC money. many of them think tornado cash is bad and ross deserves to be in jail because it would be "bad optics" for their "personal brand" if they chose to support something that might be perceived as problematic. and yet they have the audacity to yap about what cypherpunk is or isn't. they fear milady because the people in remiliasphere aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe in, even if that means being cancelled. they didn't get the memo; the cancelled will inherit the earth. the post-cancelled ascend, and the never-cancelled are left behind to rot. they "value free speech" but only as long as it's "not problematic". they are the first ones to go on a cancel crusade against people who truly support free speech. they have to virtue signal because they've been conditioned to do so. burning bridges because of having their own opinion scares them to death. half the people who are against the mandate and having a common vision for the culture being built most likely didn't mind it in the past. they type things like "mandate is bad, the world computer having a cypherpunk culture you have to align with is bad" while drinking coffee from their corporate mug that has their company values printed on it. the mandate never even mentions milady, but it's "problematic" because milady shares the same cypherpunk values. and milady is problematic because they once scrolled through the 2022 cancel and haven't bothered to look further. they respond with "uhmm i don't think the miladytruth.org blog is a valid source", while their opinion is formed around a blog article based on a debunked twitter thread. if you try to have a discussion with any of those people they suddenly fail to articulate any actual argument or criticism. and then they go private. "You’re unable to view this Post because this account owner limits who can view their Posts." the default dog fears the wolf that is milady

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Anyone who is pro KYC, pro governmental controls, and pro centralization is an enemy. The money we make is a byproduct of freeing ourselves and others from financial domination by people we didn’t elect, in a system we have no power over. Being anti Hyperliquid is being anti freedom. Rooting for centralized exchanges, while subverting and counter signaling builders democratizing access to financial products permissionlessly, world wide, in a decentralized manner is pathetic. The venues you use, the products you trade, the assets you hold are the only thing you actually control. Don’t forget what we’re fighting for. Hyperliquid

Milady isn’t even an NFT we just said we were so we could include free markets in and get all the art kids who were cancelling each other for crypto into crypto; and get crypto back to being crypto. Seriously, check the chain, I don’t even know how to use a computer

Love this "I lean hard into accelerationism and inevitability. It’s simpler tbh. Like evangelical christendom, it makes the world go black and white. You can push away the contradictions and the fear" Same reason conspiracy theories thrive.

I've owned mine since just after mint. Back when Tarun Chitra used to wear one. Before the cancel. Never put it on once.

milady pfp doesn't make you part of the community, and there is a wider debate on how even to define this group there are plenty of scam accounts abusing miladies. some people actually own the NFT. some just like the avatar's design. finally, there is a cypherphunk Ethereum milady wing, to which I'm more or less attributed my milady pfp is an echo to my rebellious teen self that recently made a comeback. you could see me at the events (lovebombing sponsor), with merch, and experimenting with context, but I don't know if I belong to any "community" as such compared, say to [], Remi doesn't gatekeep at this point and doesn't strictly vet your participation in the movement. this creates the beauty and the chaos of the personalities you can meet there (*while I distinguish between [] as a network, and Remi as a cultural stream, both are being viewed as the "cool kids on the block" and subject to the misuse of their symbolics) culture is often misinterpreted and abused, and sometimes it's even worse with the phygital experiences, where onchain/online personalities and real contributions are misaligned what I believe tho, if you decide to have a pfp you should at least understand the lore behind it and which associations it entails. some of my friends had bad experiences with events or direct conflict with the radical wings, so I embrace it as a fact and reconcile where I may. some have firm stances and even unfollowed me after the pfp change (lol), but it doesn't limit my self-expression in the things I support and condemn too (say hello to the guy in the suit) the fights with posers are long left for the streets. what's more interesting is the network effect and all of the wonderful miladies I met besides those avatars

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Milady, The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of hyperstitional technodietys, Pfp Egregores, Landian Accelerationism most of the jokes will go over a typical viewers head.
