@tommy_prusa3d Is this the only publicity? No email or log post or have I missed earlier notices?

@joeltelling I know I posted this last time you noted this issue (and I don't disagree with you) - If you pop the spool off and twist it a couple of times in the opposite direction of the twist, it's sufficient to hold the filament in place for the rest of the spool.

Joel Telling - 3D Printing Nerd ✋
The auto retraction on a CORE One when loading a brand new spool of filament sometimes does this. Are there any mods to alleviate this?

@MattStultz @themitch22 I'm strongly thinking of starting a much less formal one with occasional visits from the more known faces, with a bigger focus on guests. Think that would be something interesting?

@CanuckCreator @Prusa3D Does that mean you could put two-one kg spools on for handy manual colour swaps or end-of-spool experiences? 🤔

So heres a dumb cool thing thats kinda neat once you use it The 2 part spool holder on the @Prusa3D Core One L means you put printers closer together than with a 1 peice one when using 2kg spools since you dont need as much clearance clarence

@MandicReally @Prusa3D "I can’t justify buying a machine that has printed parts, but I will buy one with any other kind of unknown inferior plastic just because it's from a mould!"

I’ll never get the “@Prusa3D uses printed parts, I can’t justify buying a machine that has printed parts” argument when the ‘machine’ is a #3dprinter you will use to produce 3d prints… Way to ruin your own idea to use printed parts by saying YOU wouldn’t buy anything printed. 👍🏻

@DougGJoseph That's a bit harsh! Ryobi batteries come with a 3 or 5 year warranty, and if you read the documents linked, the software (bug) is in a circuit designed to brick the battery if one of the batteries is out of sync - which is what ultimately leads to fires!

@joeltelling @ZombieHedgehog_ It would be painful if you don't catch it. I am now in the habit of "untwisting" a new spool - take it off and give it a few turns anti clockwise to take the twist out. I *think* it's caused by not unwinding the filament before loading, slipping (continued)

@ZombieHedgehog_ Glue and brad nails so I can move it while it dries to keep assembling. It is far more rigid /solid than I expected.

New base for the full sheet LowRider 4. Might swap out the wheels but otherwise lots of material storage.

If you already have a drill press and really don't need another "occasional" tool - after completing a small batch of 100 inserts I can confirm my little adapter works remarkably well! printables.com/model/1454831-…

@cyanidesugar_ My planet is full of landfill appliances which have been replaced because a better model came out. I completely agree with your sentiment, so every year or two I have a non-hobby related task of upgrading stuff so I can get back to the business in hand with a clear conscience !

Almost finished the @Prusa3d CoreOne base. MDF and a surprising number of bits in @prusament . Will post details on @Printables when it's done. The filament racks are in, the electrical bits for the drying cupboard are waiting for #MMU4! 🤪

@tommy_prusa3d @Prusa3D @prusament @printables @PrusaGuy @TheZuza Thanks, in short, yes. There's enough room for eight spools and wiggle room for buffers for an MMU3, but being the optimistic type, I'll wait until (tell me it's November! 🤣) to finalise how that (and dry air circulation) works for the next gen. For now it's storage.
