@JonBbC_TechGeek 12.3.6 was better.

A lot of people are curious to hear if v14 Lite is good or not. It seems that some of the early “influencers” were pumping it and raving about how good it was, but as soon as it went wider, a lot of people were disappointed since it didn’t meet their expectations. I got some really angry DMs from people saying it was my fault for allowing it to go wider! They were very upset with me. On the other hand, if I point out the problems, people also get upset. So no matter what, I can never win. I created a poll to understand the real situation with v14 Lite. 70% of people said it was an improvement over v12.6.4.

Not better at all imo. Tapping on the brakes for no reason when someone is behind you creates a safety issue. That's a basic driving skill, all it has to do is drive straight without tapping on the brakes like it did previously. I'd keep safe and predictable driving over all the new fancy features any day. Hopefully it corrects after some updates.

@bitswift_tech Yeah, random light taps on the brakes. Overall it feels better, no freak outs at blinking yellow lights and departure parking spot to parking spot at destination. Not perfect, but better for sure

First impressions of FSD v14 Lite: It sucks! Phantom braking is back big time. Maybe it impresses shareholders but clearly this is a regress.

@rstreets01 @aelluswamy @elonmusk False. It’s hesitant and jumpy and not smooth at all. Phantom braking all over, on/off not decisive.. slow on highway. Slow to change lanes. It sucks

I’m not kidding when I say this… Allow us to go back to 12.6.4 You guys failed with V14 lite. This shouldn’t have been released. @aelluswamy @elonmusk You’ve hit the hard part of the growth curve of FSD and you’re on the edge of the hardware capabilities it seems. V14 Lite is an abject failure. Insanely bad. One small example of how it can cause an accident and be dangerous:

@wholemars Been on FSD since 2021 and I had thought they figured out the phantom braking problem back then. Lite comes with nice new features but basic driving skills seems to have regressed. Hw3 owners should think twice before installing it.

Unfortunately FSD 14 Lite seems to have an issue with backing into things at low speed when trying to park including other cars at Superchargers, Supercharger stalls, trash cans, etc Regrettably Tesla should probably slow the rollout while they address this. Drivers who have it should exercise extra caution in these scenarios.
