Lie: "Quit your job so you never have a boss again!" Reality: Your new boss is far more ruthless, gives no days off, and will fire you without notice on your first mistake. Your new boss is called the customer.

Read the wall of quote tweets that categorically reject this AI slop. We are so back. We are going to win. 🫡🇺🇸

@cwamidon Good list. Don’t forget ATOs. User loves your thing. You get a buyer. Can’t get to ops until 12+ month ATO is complete.

To the Ivory Tower AI Doomers, AI is anti-human and job destructive. That's their choice. Our experience is AI makes human taste and talent exponentially more valuable. We've watched AI unleash human agency and creativity. That's how you give the American worker superpowers, and that's why we created the American Tech Fellowship. You want to bet on the American worker? Arm them with AI and let them BUILD.

@leevalueroach Good thing capitalism caused none of those things. The state did. So you can keep on believing.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I believe in capitalism. I believe in free markets, incentives, and merit. But when wealth gets this concentrated and when the top 1% owns more than the entire middle class combined, economic history tells us something eventually breaks. Homeownership is dead for an entire generation. Wages haven’t kept up with rent, food, healthcare, or energy. Inflation is eating every paycheck alive. Student debt hangs like a millstone. And the national debt? No one even pretends that’s getting paid off anymore. Homeownership is the core pillar of the American Dream and is now a fantasy for much of Gen Z and Millennials. The median house is $400,000. The median household income is $74,000. The math doesn’t work. You can feel the tension rising. Anecdotes that once felt like random acts of violence are starting to resemble warning shots. The CEO of UNH getting shot and the online reaction wasn’t horror, but celebration. A prominent real estate executive at Blackstone was murdered, and people cheered. That’s not normal. That’s the temperature rising. That’s the pot boiling. When people realize they’ll never own anything, that the game is rigged, that every avenue to dignity is behind a tollbooth, that’s when things get dangerous. And I think we’re getting close. You don’t fix this with a stimulus check or a new tax credit. You fix it with something fundamental. or the system breaks on its own. I’m not calling for revolution. I would hate to see that happen. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel it coming. I hope I’m wrong.

My Reindustrialize conference take away: domestic manufacturing is having its moment, which is great. Been waiting for this moment for 15 years. But everyone is too focused on defense manufacturing - which is important - but we need consumer products manufactured in the United States if we want a chance at rapidly re building a true industrial base and supply chain that provides for our national security. Defense applications alone will never build an industrial base because they don’t have the scale consumer products have. We are the world’s biggest consumption market by far. We can rapidly create an industrial base to secure our future by making the things we consume on-shore, and do it cheaper faster and better than the past. There is no doubt that the future is building consumer products inside the market they are consumed in. That needs to be a bigger focus of this movement, IMO.
