@goldstone_tony Re. #8 and missed Statutory deadlines. What is the penalty for them missing these? They should compensate members for the ensuing stress and expense of having to work out estimates and the updating once the actual figures are eventually released. Pointless deadlines currently.

Interesting recent Pension Ombudsman ruling. NHSBSA were ordered to pay £1,000 "for the serious distress and inconvenience caused by its maladministration" Dr S has complained that NHSBSA has failed to send him a Pension Saving Statement (PSS) automatically for the tax years 2016/17, 2017/18, and 2018/19. What excites you most about the future? Is it doing less of something? Less hours Less on-call Less clinical / management Is "less" the best thing to focus on? Removing the things you like doing least is good planning. But maybe it's not less of something that's needed. Swap less for MORE. What do you want to be doing more of? Maybe that's where the focus should be?

@medicaccountant @PengageLtd @AISMANewsline Doubt it.. Though that does raise the McCloud Cost Claim-back Paradox: If a member submits late and incurs a charge, is that charge compensable, given they wouldn’t have had to go through this process if the government hadn’t discriminated? 😉

Saved a member £23k in new tax charges after spotting an RPSS error🙌 This time a GP case AA calculations were technically correct based on the underlying data, but the data wasn't geared up for automated calculation (🤓: Separate Officer Benefit triggered incorrectly)

@drmujtabakhan @gdcuk @wesstreeting @RachelReevesMP We don't at all mind paying the Income Tax on the income, but its having to pay extra tax on the pension as well when the extra isn't pensionable.

I wonder if @wesstreeting @RachelReevesMP understand the impact of tax policy on doctors ability to work? I've been talking to journalists on AA Taper & 60% tax trap & how it impacts doctors Crazy that tax policy discourages doctors from working, given current waiting lists 🤦‍♂️
