#SchoolVouchers mostly fund children already in private school. They create massive new budget obligations. Lawmakers then are forced to raid state school aid for $$ later. This is what happens in every state and it’ll happen in #Iowa #IAed #IAleg too. 😞
There's an interesting proposed change in HSB 31, the rules that govern the Iowa House. Rule 32 says any bills that go through the Education Reform Committee are exempt from Appropriations and Ways and Means, where their financial impact would be assessed. legis.iowa.gov/legislation/Bi…
How many people are blessed enough to reconnect with their 1st grade teacher, 51 years later??! Colette had a huge impact on my life. It was awesome to have her attend practice today and to have her in the stands to cheer on the Jays tomorrow!!
