And maybe you don’t like certain things about Pete Carroll. But where he’s always excelled is in building culture, fostering hope and belief, and getting the very best out of guys that other coaches and other organizations could not reach. Something to be said for that.

Last year, the Seahawks really decided to employ two quarterbacks who had been punching bags throughout their respective NFL tenures. And now both Geno Smith and Drew Lock have resurrected their careers and reputations with signature moments in primetime games. Incredible.
