i switched to codex after anthropic cut of access
it's been absolutely horrible so far
all of my cron jobs broke, tool calling seems non existent, and it's horrendous at following instructions

I want to double down on that. Just ask Codex to build anything you want connecting to the Codex App Server. It’s very self-aware about it, and you can connect Codex to anything and talk to it from any UI you want to build!

codex with gpt5.3 will do literally anything to avoid using built in tools. will "echo "foo" > file.txt" but won't call the edit tools. this is so weird. I start to thing that's the training problem, not the harness.
