@BomberBanter_au Exactly! He did what had needed to have been done, and got rid of some anchors that had been holding us back. And moving forward doesn’t involve people who have “Don the sash” either!

Thank you for coming in and clearing the decks Brad. We wouldn’t have the talented kids we do now without the excavation work you did and for that I am grateful. I hope this now ignites a fresh new path forward - not backwards - and we start to earn back the respect we once had. ❤️🖤

The Essendon Football Club can confirm that it has made the decision to part company with Senior Coach Brad Scott, effective immediately. essendonfc.com.au/news/2033568/s…

Therell be lots of people dancing on Brad Scott’s grave today but he was on a hiding to nothing. Like most coaches who rebuild from scratch, its near impossible to see through. Maybe he didnt have the tactics, he certainly didnt have the cattle. Disappointed tbh but thats footy!

As an @essendonfc member of over 50yrs, I'm very disappointed in the negative & nasty tweets about Brad Scott. Took on the impossible & now at its hardest point gets chopped. I appreciate his efforts to get this club up & going which is yrs away regardless. To Brad all the best.

@BomberRicko @JontyRalphsmith @Rightfootnana Cmon Rick. I just can’t stomach when players can’t be bothered out their hands up to spoil or just show something. Lynch’s shot at goal nearly hit McKay in the head and he couldn’t be F trying to smother it. How can you support that.

Two body-on-the-line efforts in a minute from a young player, Archer Day-Wicks, to keep Essendon in the game followed up by poor discipline and a contest loss respectively from a pair of veterans, Darcy Parish and Ben McKay, sums up Essendon in 2026.

@CraiG_Mc What a load of crap! We want to see effort and improvement not a weak arsed key defender who can’t even put his arms to at least put pressure on the kick.

You know what, it’s sad seeing the amount of supporters who wish we’d lose simply because they want to see the coach sacked. For me as a supporter, whether I like the coach or not is irrelevant. Losing sucks regardless, and no doubt it sucks for the playing group as well. And tonight I’ll be at the game barracking for the team to win. Supporting the group of players who pull on the red and black every week and could probably do with a bit of joy for all the hard work they’re no doubt putting in. That’s what I wish for. #GoDons

Brad Scott is likely to be fired soon, but I’m incredulous to see him getting blamed for tonight. We lost Guelfi inside 2 minutes, one of our best mids in Duz in the 1Q & our skipper 15 odd minutes before HT. Brad will be moved on at some stage, but even prime Sheeds would have struggled to overcome in-game injuries like that

I’m very confident in the direction of the football because of Caddy Martin Roberts May Robey Sharp Farrow Kako Johnson Hayes Kondo Reid ADW That’s why the decision on Scott is so critical…If the club stays with Scott, Vozzo better identify the appropriate coaching structure

In light of Patrick Voss’ performance today, thought it was an opportune time to create a list of players who have left Essendon over the years and flourished at other clubs: Joe Daniher, Bachar Houli, Damien Hardwick, Blake Caracella, Ted Richards, Paddy Ryder, Michael Hibberd, Jake Melksham, Josh Jenkins, Conor McKenna, Adam Saad, Voss, Jake Stringer, Jayden Laverde, Massimo D’Ambrosio. Am I missing anyone?

I know this tweet was early in game and possibly fair then. But overall he was disappointing again IMV mate. Misses crucial goals time and time again. Specifically a snap shot in the last quarter. Followed moments later by letting Ash saunter out of the D50 thanks to an ineffective tackle

The most concerning thing now for Essendon. We can see the talent coming through we’ve recruited correctly. We know Brad can’t develop players and clearly can’t build relationships to get the best out of his players. It’s blatantly obvious and they will start looking elsewhere.
