@tomhfh I’m fairly certain they will go from some fairly online thing to having a say in Reform strong areas and costing them seats at the GE. Anecdotally all my more right wing friends have swapped Reform for Restore and all said Reform accepting Zahawi etc was their tipping point.

Another one bites the dust… David Bull the latest to be stabbed in the back in Reform UK’s ongoing civil war. What the heck did he do wrong?
Reform UK@reformparty_uk

We are delighted to announce that @LeeAndersonMP_ has today become the new Chairman of Reform UK. David Bull has overseen unprecedented growth in his time as Chairman and will still remain heavily involved in the party. 🇬🇧

Keir Starmer has decided not to announce a departure timetable unless and until Andy Burnham wins the Makerfield by-election. I will explore what this means for the government and Labour Party later today

NEW: For the first time since Brexit, the UK is starting to talk about rejoining the EU. Both Andy Burnham and Wes Streeting want to. Burnham could not have been clearer only seven months ago: “I want to rejoin the EU.” He confirmed his view to @DanielHewittITV this weekend. This is a big moment. Until now, no prime minister has been willing to go anything like that far. Keir Starmer insisted on keeping Brexit settled with his red lines. If Burnham wins that looks about to change. It sets up the realistic prospect that Labour will go into the next election with a manifesto that calls for Britain to rejoin. It could make the next election an effective second referendum. It throws up huge questions. Have the Leave voters of Makerfield changed their mind about Brexit 10 years on? Is Britain willing to vote for free movement? Does it hurt or help Farage? And what terms would the EU give the UK to rejoin? With @LucyGJWhite >> bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Some reflections on the EU/Makerfield. 1) The public overwhelmingly think Brexit hasn't worked, but are most likely to say it hasn't worked because politicians messed it up rather than could never have worked. The promised £350 million for the NHS comes up a lot in groups.

"I voted Reform but this changes everything" People in Makerfield asked about Andy Burnham running as MP. If these people are representative he is a dead cert. Absolutely baffled how you can vote for completely different policy based on the candidate.🙄

‼️I am staggered at this post from a PM who has watched hate filled matches on our streets every week for 2 years. And has never spoken like this. Today, he labels every single person in this country, black, white and all shades in between, who are concerned about social cohesion and cultural erosion, as Racist and thugs. It is unforgivable 🚨
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

Farage trousered £5,000,000 from a crypto guy in Thailand without declaring it in the Register, and then went on to actively promote crypto in speeches. He initially claimed every penny was to pay for personal security... but he bought a £1.4m house in cash shortly after… 🤔

BREAKING: Reform UK leader Nigel Farage bought £1.4m house in cash shortly after receiving £5m personal gift from crypto-billionaire Christopher Harborne. Reform says the "offer and process" of buying the property commenced before gift. Intriguing story by @AliFortescue

A couple of days ago, @benhabib6 called out @Nigel_Farage over the personal money taking of a billionaire reportedly living in Thailand. Most likely in exchange for political favours. Speaking with the excellent Paul Thorpe, Ben made it clear: if what he said was untrue, he fully expected Farage to sue him. So what happened? Farage says his lawyers are sending Ben a letter. A letter is not a lawsuit. A letter is not legal action. It is political theatre. If the claims were genuinely false, surely proceedings would already be underway. So to be clear - Nigel Farage is not suing Ben Habib. People can draw their own conclusions as to why – I think it is obvious. This is exactly the kind of murky political culture and sleaze the British public are sick of. Credit to Ben Habib for having the courage to call it out publicly.

Rebuilding our relationship with Europe matters. I headed to Brussels today to meet with @steph_sejourne as we deepen UK-EU cooperation on our industrial strategy. A closer relationship with Europe benefits Britain - it creates jobs, strengthens trade and increases our security.

ANALYSIS: Starmer clearly listening to his party. Tries to step up the emotion and the passion. But so wanting when it comes to matching his rhetoric of urgency to policy offer. Next 24 hours going to be very precarious as MPs weigh up what to do
Sky News@SkyNews

"What I picked up from it was a prime minister saying to his party, 'I have heard you'" Sky's political editor @BethRigby gives her take on the prime minister's speech, describing it as 'passionate', 'emotional', but that the 'substance of it was quite thin gruel.' 📺 Sky 501

Hope resides in our young people. But Brexit has held them back. They should be able to live, work and study in Europe, which is exactly what our Youth Experience Scheme will deliver. This is part of rebuilding a stronger relationship with Europe. That's the Labour choice.
