@BradMBradford You're a liar. Bike lanes weren't prioritized over sidewalks and main roads. You found one cleared bike lane & exploiting it to fit your narrative.

After a major snowfall, Torontonians saw the imbalance firsthand — when bike lanes were spotless but streets, sidewalks, and access to transit weren’t, it was clear City Hall needs to get back to basics on snow clearing.

@MilkBagBandit @BradMBradford Removing all the bike lanes would simply mean that Toronto's 1.8 million* bikes would be sent back to "your" car lanes. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. *Source: 2019 City survey of residents across all areas of the city.

@BradMBradford Bikes are not valid means of transportation. They are children’s toys and a leisure activity, like skateboards. Remove all of the bike lanes and get them off the streets.

@Morphed7 @ElectionDigest @BradMBradford Actually, the standard is the*same* for clearing sidewalks and bike lanes: for both, plowing begins when 2 cm of snow accumulates — bike lanes don't have priority. Because there are thousands more km of sidewalk, it obviously takes longer to clear all sidewalks than 🚲 lanes.

@ElectionDigest @BradMBradford Don't be silly. There are more pedestrians than bikers. Pedestrians must have priority. Clear the sidewalks first. Period!

> You seem to be alternating between displaying the next arrival for the next *2* trains, but there is nothing to inform passengers of this. Someone just glancing at "10 minutes" might bail on the subway, not realizing that the real next train is moments away. Can you comment?

@TTChelps Today, the next-arrival screen NB at Wellesley showed the next train was 10 minutes away—then flipped to 3, a half-minute later. It continued to flip between 10, 3, 9, 2, then 8, 1 and the train arrived. You seem to be alternating between the next *2* trains, but… >

@g_meslin @OntarioPCParty This map should make it obviously clear how opening up the 407 does not solve the problem. I pay for 407 when I can use it, BUT most of the time it's not useful for my trips in those red zones. This argument is ignorant.

Reminder that the green 400-series highway running parallel to the red 401, about 8km to the north, was sold off by the previous @OntarioPCParty government for $3.1B in 1999, and that the current government would rather throw $150B in a hole than address that mistake.

@TTChelps are bicycles allowed on the 509 Harbourfront streetcar? (Outside weekday peak hours, obviously.) And do you have the ground-floor location of an elevator serving the northbound platform at Queens Quay/Ferry Docks station? Thanks!

@311Toronto someone tucked broken glass between this light post and traffic cone; please pick it up. Next to WB bus stop on Wellesley East of Bay. (I swear I tweeted this twice already, but I can't see any sign of it.)

2) The pavement is uneven; the gap is tall. A 🚴🏻‍♀️ riding at the very right edge, moving to the middle of the lane (to be better seen from behind around the curve) will hit this long, tall gap at a sharp angle to the wheel — huge danger of wiping out right in traffic! @CycleToronto

@311Toronto VERY dangerous pavement unevenness at NE corner of Bay & Queen. 1) Looking N, this blind curve is already dangerous to cyclists who can get hit by a speeding vehicle in the right lane taking the curve. But now… /cont'd

@311Toronto days ago, someone helpfully tucked away broken glass between this light pole and an orange cone; please remove it. Wellesley at Bay, at the back of the westbound bus stop on the NE corner. Thanks.

@311Toronto Someone helpfully tucked all this broken glass at the base of this lamppost; it's at the tail end of the bus stop at the NE corner of Bay & Wellesley. Please have it picked up before the glass spreads.

@311Toronto some kind person gathered up broken glass and tucked it away from 🚴🏻‍♀️🚶🏾 traffic. Please have it picked up before it spreads. It's at the lamppost at the back end of the 94 bus stop on NE corner of Bay and Wellesley. Thanks.

@311Toronto is this a City responsibility? Large amount of smeared feces on sidewalk on Wellesley SW of Yonge. Thanks for confirming.

@311Toronto A bulging smartphone battery is a safety hazard, as it could explode or combust unexpectedly. I don't want to drop it in our condo's Battery Recycling bin, as it could cause a fire anytime/anywhere. How do I safely dispose of a bulging smartphone battery in Toronto?

@Fritolay your website states "To see how long Tostitos® queso is good for after opening, please refer to the storage instructions and best by date on the packaging for the shelf life of the product." This info is nowhere on the jar, even tiny print. 🇨🇦 product. See UPC. Thanks!

@joelkeller small error in your fine article at decider.com/2024/07/19/luc… : "the number of questions the contestant got right is higher than the range they guessed, they walk away with nothing." should be "[…] higher or lower […]". Enjoy your day!
