@ja3k_ Fuel prices matter for the prices of everything as almost everything is moved via truck, so the higher cost of moving something the higher cost at the store. Also fuel is used for heat and generating electricity in some places so those things are effected.

Idk why gas prices are so culturally salient in america. You could drive an hour a day and it probably comes to less than $3k/year. Is it because they put the price on billboards along the road?

I normally don't bother armchair quarterbacking these situations. But watching the Tesla Stans come into the comments is funny. Elon said Autopilot (FSD?) was disengaged 4s before the impact which if you watch the video looks like it was going way too fast at that point. Am I missing something?
Fox News@FoxNews

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

@blast_oids I’m not sure. It would have taken near 100% braking force to stop in two seconds.

“Our grandparents were eating real food!” Not sure how old your grandparents are but I’m pretty sure a large portion of our grandparents were cooking everything in crisco and margarine.

@maximumpain333 Indeed and 13 months of rent each year instead of 12! But earn the same amount of money due to being paid weekly or bi weekly for most renters.

We're supposed to have 13 months in a year, 28 days exactly with one day of renewal. Keep in mind women's periods are 28 days, the ocean tides are 28 days, and the moon cycle is 28 days. That's why we call it a month, because the cycles were originally derived from the moon (s). All of this was changed to make us out of sync with the moon & stars and also hide our history. ✨🙌🏾💫 © electric_being

AI data centers can use up to five million gallons of water each day. Am I the only one concerned about how this could pose a serious threat to our farmers and our food supply? What happens when these centers seriously strain our aquifers and dry up irrigation systems? Is it really worth it?

@itsdavidramms Nawh i raise, butcher, and eat them not because its some easy thing we have always done, i do it because it tastes way better and makes my body feel good. I could easily buy cheap bags of rice and eat rice gruel everyday. Which was habit for lots in the past.

We eat animals because we always have. Not because we need to, not because there's no alternative. Because it's what we grew up with, it's what everyone around us does, and changing feels uncomfortable. That's it. Billions of animals a year, for our comfort and habit. If that's not worth questioning, what is?

Unpopular Opinion: Having kids is what ages you. Which is why all these people in their early 20s that have kids look 50 by the time they hit 30. And the childless 30yr olds look like they are still in their 20s.
