@FPWellman I'd say that this naming discussion (to include Lee Barracks) has much less to do with America in the early 1860's and much more to do with America in the early 1960's.

There is no kind way to criticize this utterly ridiculous argument. Kennedy knows it’s time to change the names that honor men who took up arms against the nation to maintain slavery. This is performative demagoguery and says more about him than the south. Ignorance or racism?
