@bleedingblueoil @dhockey13 Don't quote me on this, but from those in the know, Necas started strong due to playing soft comp and getting gravy zone starts, and even then he's been unable to sustain.

Rantenen for a decent 2C in Necas and a cap dump is an insane get for Carolina. This is why I was begging the Oilers to try and hire Eric Tulsky when Holland left.

@AdamsOnHockey Deeper look it’s the most logical move. The F depth is still awesome. Easy to put 4 good fast lines together. D will be very scary to start 😂, but will accrue enough cap in theory to bring in a top 4 mid season.

@mathewjdp is honestly a favourite, I’ve disagreed or argued lots and have even felt I have a deeper foothold in hockey working with pros in men’s and women’s hockey…. However this man puts in work and is incredibly insightful. I.e. Bouchard. Many loved, none loved like Matt!

I get placing Cups higher than anything…. But to still argue Mcdavid isn’t a “winner” after having a historic run and pulling his team as close as possible (albeit losing) into the finals, just seems like hating to hate. Reminds me of Crosby’s first 10 years. #Justappreciate
