@Jeff_Mold Does generating lackluster effectors inhibit pathogen clearance, making the response a bit more like a chronic immune challenge, which degrades the ability of the stem-like/memory precursor population to establish the correct conditions for recall?

@Jeff_Mold I wonder in these types of experiments, if the difficulty in forming the 2ndary memory response lies more with the blunted effector response allowing prolonged antigen exposure to the "memory precursor" population, than in a cell-intrinsic defect.
