You’re absolutely right. Mine is far superior. I'm sorry you could not get into a real medical school. While you were busy in your ivory tower residency, I was stacking decades of actual clinical experience in high-acuity environments where there is no "attending" to hide behind. I have 35 years in the game—including 30 in anesthesia and 12 as an ENP/FNP. My "accumulated clinical experience" involves saving lives in rural pits where you wouldn't even know how to find the light switch. You can keep worshiping your residency manual, but out here in the real world, my training is purpose-built for the autonomy and crisis management that clearly terrifies you. Stay in your lane. My track record speaks significantly louder than your degree.

@DrDiGiorgio I have a clinical doctorate just like DOs, Podiatrist, clinical psychologist, pharmacist etc. Not all “doctors” are MDs. We can all see how arrogant you are. You must be a joy to work with. Looks like you are wrong again.

@JIMMYEDGAR It's almost as if being autistic is an antidote to a society that numbs you and asks you to turn a blind eye to it's many ills?🤔

Autistic people aren't bad at reading the room. They're bad at pretending they didn't. A neurotypical notices something uncomfortable and smooths over it. An autistic person calls it out whether overtly or through actions. That's not a social deficit. Its more like a social threat, which is why it gets pathologized.

I’m gonna say it… The Pitt over glorifies ER docs. It’s like Matt Damon and Good Will Hunting, but for ER docs. 99% of them wouldn’t be able to do half the 💩 they pretend to do on that show. I love you guys, but you know I’m right.

FACT CHECK: RFK Jr. just went before Congress and claimed the Hepatitis B vaccine wasn’t properly tested, and honestly, the math isn’t mathing. He’s out here telling the world that this vaccine—which has been standard for newborns since the 90s—is somehow a mystery, but the actual science says otherwise:

@robbys_toupee This is not true. During the history taking & X-ray process we flag which methods to use or stay away from. There are low impact techniques such as the activator method that are completely fine to proceed with. Stop fear mongering because you’re ignorant.

@claireyael Yall, it's covid. I was one of the people who got infected very early in the pandemic and even had long covid. The way my hair quality and strength diminished was clear as day. Hair was also falling from pubic area.

In 1994, my female grade school teacher at a Bay Area private school would hold me in during recess and lunch to make me do "correct and returns," even though my work was the best in the class. Twenty years later in Oxford, my DPhil thesis, which contained three-peer reviewed publications, was flunked by my two female examiners. (The viva was voided by the Senior Proctor on grounds of "procedural irregularity" and I then took the degree after a second and fair one.) And yet, my entire life, I've been told by every academic institution I've known that I have all the advantages as a straight white man. I long ago learned to find this supernatural degree of hypocrisy liberating, and doing so is part of what has contributed to the inspiration responsible for my producing an authorship that has become quite something. So, thank you, Mrs Lum! You had no idea that you were preparing me for the realization that, at least in this day, Oxford would be no less a farce than your third-grade classroom.

I've read about this Gen Z stare and up til now, I'd never encountered it. That was until today. I walked into a local take out shop. 2 cash registers, 2 people ready to take your order. The first girl was busy with customers, so I look at the girl at the 2nd cash. She just stares at me. Her face never moved, she didn't blink, she just stared at me like I was invisible. It was like she didn't know how to acknowledge or give basic social cues. I'm looking at her thinking, usually people behind the counter say hello first as a cue to advance to their wicket. She just stared at me! So I ask: Hi, do you want to take my order? Her: Sure. That's all she initially said. Honestly it was the oddest thing I've ever encountered, it was like she was on auto pilot. Once I started speaking to her, it was like her batteries kicked in and then she smiled became friendly. Has anyone else ever encountered that stare?

@MeanderingRhode @L00kAtThatBird @usulsean @NJBanbury So it's fine for you, as a physician, the person with much more power in this situation, to make dangerous assumptions about your patients based on the behaviour of unrelated patients but for patients to make any assumptions about people that you share a profession with is wrong?

Do you notice how when patients are sharing bad experiences with doctors as a reaction there never is accountability or acknowledgement? It's always sth like "patients don't understand / are ignoring that... " This is literally proving the point of not being taken seriously.

You have a right to compassionate care and doctors have the right to not assume undue liability. We’re trained not to prescribe something w/ a worse risk profile just bc of preference. Americans love to sue AND the DEA doesn’t play. Medicine/healthcare isn’t a typical commodity.
Julia Marie@julia_doubleday

And then when they suggest medication you go like “oh, really? A medication? You think that could work? I don’t knowwww”. Like genuinely as a patient this is the shit I do to make sure doctors prescribe me things lol like reverse psychology on a toddler

@Feran_me @Tasty_Arsenic Again, do you think this is our first time interacting with doctors or the medical community? Do you think we don’t understand why things work the way they do? That we can’t tell the difference between collaboration on due diligence & being condescended to & ignored?

I love how addicted doctors are to re-diagnosing us w/the same shit we’ve already been diagnosed, how if we come in & tell them what other doctors have already told us they won’t believe us until they personally replicate the literal same tests & baby step treatments first.
Jonathan@jabberwock951

I'm not gonna lie, it is frustrating when you ask a patient what's wrong and they just give you a diagnosis. Like "I have a chest infection". OK, you're probably right but I need to know your symptoms to see if I agree with that diagnosis. I can't just take your word for it.
