Why do people refer to the seizure of Kharg Island like a trophy? Like it’s a vanity priject with no impact on the Iranian domestic reality. If we can hold Kharg Island, the IRGC is totally screwed.

Current prediction: Escalation in Iran involving ground troops attempting to take Kharg & enriched uranium. Doesn’t topple regime. Trump takes the W and we’re out sometime summer. Not another Iraq, but still a deviation from campaign promises & politically and economically costly. Better to have pulled out after killing the Ayatollah. Not ideal, and not something I can be accused of calling for or cheering on, but progress on domestic stuff will continue nonetheless.

These are “prefabricated, transportable, hardened shelter systems designed to protect personnel from blast and fragmentation threats,” with delivery times of 3 days. The farmers understand this isn't a loss making model as they picking the ripest fruits 1st which would go rotten if not picked.

@ChefGruel Helped my Dad grow an acre of sweet corn one summer, he thought letting people pick their own was a great idea. What he didn't do was increase the cost to offset the extra loss from letting people that don't know what they are doing into our field. Maybe berries not so much.
