I got challenged to show if I can do some pull ups. Proper hand grip, palms away. Palms facing are chin ups. I responded on the thread, but because I rocked 10 of these it deserves its own post.

Ask Thomas this: if I was “making up” being abused and harassed, then why did he come down from Kentucky to change my locks for me? This blame-the-victim mentality whenever the finger starts pointing at powerful people is exactly what many of us hoped to overcome by exposing things like the Epstein files. But instead, it seems some people only care about victims when it is politically convenient. Are we really going to advocate for women harmed by Epstein while simultaneously shaming women and spreading falsehoods about their experiences because it benefits someone politically? That is what is wrong with politics. That is what is wrong with humanity. People should not have to prove their pain to be treated with basic dignity and honesty.
Marcus Carey@marcuscarey

Thomas Massie has engaged in the most reprehensible act imaginable following the sworn testimony of Cynthia West this past Monday. He has made the public statement, through his spokesperson state representative Steve Doan, that "Ms. West has a documented history of making false abuse allegations. Notably, during the very period she claims to have been involved with Congressman Massie." This is despicable. Why? Because Thomas Massie not only knows this is a false and defamatory statement, but in an email he sent to Cynthia, he attached, the details of the abuse himself. These are contained in the transcript of a conversation Massie had with her ex husband's commanding officer. The horrendous attempt to paint Cynthia as merely "claiming" to be involved with Massie, and having made "false abuse allegations" is irrefutably proven false by Massie's own words. And what makes this even more egregious is the fact that his response to her sworn testimony is to lie and shame her! She not only had to suffer this kind of abuse at the hands of her husband, as Massie himself confirms, but now he is perpetrating the same abuse against her himself! And what is jaw dropping offensive is that this is all coming from a man who created a media event railing against men who abuse women, calling for transparency while exploiting real women victims as a backdrop for his stunt. The depth of depravity in this scurry to deflect and defame should be seen by all women as 100% disqualifying. So now, for all the world to see, here are his words, his own confession that he is every bit the deceitful scoundrel he pretends to hate: "He corrected that to say that he was relieved of his command yesterday morning, and this was, according to him, due to social media posts disparaging to Cynthia West ...And he is saying that it's shameful that I would be seeing somebody within three months of my wife passing away.... he is disparaging me, he's making shameful remarks about Cynthia...he's got a pattern here... he used one social media account to harass Cynthia...he had a restraining order placed against him, and it was while he was under the restraining order, he created the new account to cyberbully Cynthia and made over 100 posts in a day... And my concern is that once you tell -- if you tell him to quit doing this, he's going to try to find another venue, to, or medium in which to do the same thing.... one other concern I have is for Cynthia and her family. I'm not sure if there are any resources that you can mobilize to protect her or to give her because he's -- that's the next thing, it's kind of predictable, I feel like. I know that Cynthia's got a firearm now...and she's genuinely concerned for her safety because this is not a stable individual." Mr. Doan is an attorney and has refused to correct these misrepresentations despite repeated requests, as is his ethical obligation under the Kentucky Rules of Professional Conduct. Absolutely sickening.

Nobody is saying two macros are the same. But calories dictate whether you lose or gain weight. Body composition, hormonal health, hunger etc depends on what macros you consume for those calories. The satiety when someone consume 500 Kcal of Protein, Whole Carbs, Processed Carbs & Fats will not be the same. But Calorie is a Calorie

This is the difference between listening to the media's spin on Trump and actually understanding the man. The character of Trump the media presents to the world is not the man he is. Failure to understand this has made many foreign leaders mishandle Trump and they have all paid the price.
Ken Cao-The China Crash Chronicle@Ken_LoveTW

Xi talked tough on Taiwan. Trump gave him nothing. And that silence from Trump may have been the loudest message of the entire summit. Before the meeting, Beijing loudly declared Taiwan was China’s “red line.” Chinese officials repeatedly warned that mishandling Taiwan could lead to direct US-China conflict. Xi apparently believed Trump would either be intimidated or negotiate. Instead, Trump pulled off something far more devastating: strategic silence. According to reports, Xi aggressively pressed Trump on Taiwan during the summit, even warning that the issue could push China and the US into dangerous conflict. Xi reportedly demanded to know whether America would militarily defend Taiwan if Beijing attacked. Trump’s response? “I don’t discuss that issue.” That single sentence completely neutralized Xi’s strategy. Xi had prepared for a confrontation. He likely wanted an argument. Even a heated exchange would have allowed him to project strength domestically and claim he stood up to America. But Trump refused to engage at all. That turned Xi’s Taiwan performance into a one-man monologue. And in Chinese political culture, this matters enormously. For a leader obsessed with authority and face, publicly issuing threats only to be calmly ignored is deeply humiliating. The irony is that Trump’s visit to Beijing alone was already a diplomatic win for Xi. If Xi had focused on trade, cooperation, or ceremonial diplomacy, he could have walked away looking strong. Instead, Beijing overplayed its hand. Xi seems to have assumed Trump was just a businessman who could be pressured or traded with. But Trump understood something important: refusing to engage can sometimes be more powerful than arguing.

Leftists (usually correctly): Imperialism and militaristic nationalism are bad. Don't invade weaker countries, it's evil. Leftists about China: Unfortunately the Tibetans are savages in need of civilizing, the blood of the Taiwanese is necessary to achieve Xi Jinping thought.
Cassie Pritchard@hecubian_devil

Liberals (usually correctly): “that’s zero-sum thinking…Just because there are tradeoffs doesn’t make it zero-sum…Um that’s a zero-sum fallacy…” Liberals about China: unfortunately we have to be enemies because there can only be one hegemon and it must be us. Arm the nukes.

NVIDIA has lost out in China. When NVIDIA had an unassailable lead, China was buying. It was great business for the US. Then sanctions stopped the sales. China was forced to develop this new technology and is now almost there. They have already mastered the 5 nm chip technology. During Trump’s visit, they refused to buy NVIDIA because they intend to compete in the market and maybe even bankrupt them with better, much cheaper products. Another sanction that has backfired. If you can’t beat them, join them.
Megatron@Megatron_ron

NEW: 🇨🇳🇺🇸 Trump confirmed today that China is refusing to buy NVIDIA chips because they are developing their own This once again confirms that the US has lost the main bargaining card with China which I wrote about it yesterday. TRUMP: “They have (Nvidia) a much higher level than H200.China needs it and yeah it came up. They choose not to buy because they want to develop their own. I think something could happen on that.”

Today’s decision by Governor Jared Polis to commute Tina Peters’ sentence is a long-overdue step toward justice. Tina Peters, a proud Gold Star mother who lost her Navy SEAL son in service to our nation, dedicated election integrity advocate, and former Mesa County Clerk, was subjected to a politically charged prosecution that resulted in a nine-year sentence meant to make an example out of her. I’m proud of the relentless pressure my office and I applied, working hand-in-hand with President Donald Trump, to highlight Tina’s case and demand fairness. This outcome would not have been possible without the continued pressure and advocacy from President Trump who always knew Tina deserved fairness under the law. Tina will be released next month and return to her family and community. God bless Tina and all who fought tirelessly for her release.

You've eaten ultra processed food your entire life and feel fine so it can't be that bad. Here's what's happening beneath the surface: Emulsifiers in processed food disrupt gut microbiome diversity, directly impacting serotonin production, immune function and nutrient absorption. Refined seed oils oxidise inside your body producing aldehydes linked to chronic cellular inflammation. Artificial additives chronically spike Insulin creating the exact metabolic environment that produces fatty liver, insulin resistance and visceral fat accumulation. You feel fine because damage is silent before it's permanent. By the time it announces itself it's been building for a decade.

I have taken a close look at the "hush money" accusation against Rep. Thomas Massie, circulated by @LauraLoomer and others. Quite simply, there is nothing to it. There was no such payment and nothing to "hush" up. An ex-girlfriend had an employment dispute with a separate member of Congress. Her grievance is highly dubious, and anyway it has nothing to do with Massie. His enemies are peddling a vague insinuation in order to discredit him. You are welcome to disagree with Massie. I have had my own disagreements with him on the fallout from the Epstein Files. (Although otherwise I agree with him on probably 90% of issues.) But we should all be able to recognize a pathologically bad-faith political hit job. reason.com/2026/05/15/tho…

Hey look. Massies opponent sounds like a winner. Thomas Massie’s opponent, Ed Gallrein, says he wants to bring back the military draft for “national security” reasons. He complains that the current system is too slow when it comes to sending large numbers of young Americans off to a potential world war. "That is a significant issue for national security." "I'm not sure we have that kind of time anymore."

NYP Reporter: Prior to boarding Air Force One to depart Beijing, the entire U.S. delegation disposed of every item provided to them by their Chinese hosts. Gifts, badges, pins, and commemorative items were all dumped into a trash bin on site. The directive was absolute, no item of Chinese origin was permitted to board the aircraft. The precautions extended beyond the departure itself. Delegation members had left all personal electronic devices at home before traveling to China and operated exclusively on clean burner phones throughout the duration of the trip.

The high cholesterol = heart disease theory needs to die
Nick Norwitz MD PhD@nicknorwitz

🚨New Paper: "Seven Years of 700 Cholesterol Without Coronary Atherosclerosis: A Lean Mass Hyper-Responder Case Report" Link: doi.org/10.3390/diseas… For the past 7 years, I’ve been running what is essentially a natural experiment in cholesterol and heart health. During that time, I’ve largely lived with: 👉Total cholesterol around 700 mg/dl 👉LDL cholesterol between 500–600 mg/dL I recently underwent advanced coronary CT angiography imaging with AI-guided analysis. This is not a CAC. It measures all plaque (soft + calcified), with expert interpretation and AI-guided analysis capable of quantifying plaque down to the cubic millimeter (mm3). Now, to address the obvious question: Am I too young for plaque? In brief: No. The clearest comparison is individuals with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, who often have similarly extreme LDL/ApoB levels and can develop advanced plaque as toddlers, and even heart attacks as early as age 8. Also, nutrition influencers in their 30s have publicly shared quantified plaque scores from these same imaging technologies. In one recent case, a plant-based influencer in his thirties was found to have 61.3 mm³ of plaque despite having far lower lifetime LDL exposure. (He can identify himself if he so chooses.) My case also isn’t a one-off. There are many individuals like me, including older individuals with similar LDL-C and ApoB without any plaque. The difference is that I’m an unusually well-characterized subject, with extensive metabolic data and health markers tracked over time. You can learn more at the newsletter or open-access paper, linked above. The science of heart health is not settled. And cholesterol is not a simple story. 🚨 If you want to help spread the word...
