@mweinbach @Apple It might be self-serviceable, but Apple doesn't have the repair options they offered back in the days of the Apple or early Mac - we had parts, training & certification, and were allowed to perform in-warranty repairs, too. Don't see that even being offered to K-12 anymore.

@dhh Realistically 2 isn’t happening and it’s msft’s fault, they initially declined because they had a exclusivity agreement with qualcomm so they couldn’t supply apple with windows licenses. It’s possible that contract is over but it’d still likely be more up to msft than apple

@LavaVex @gnukeith This is a gross oversimplification too, chrome does a lot that justifies its major performance hog. This is just kinda a ELI5, you can find much more detailed docs of why chrome uses so much perf if you look for it

@LavaVex @gnukeith Chromium is big on sandboxing everything, thats usually why you see multiple processes open at once. It's roughly 1 page/extension per process + more for overhead. Chrome is ram hungry though so there's probably not much you can do to cut down on usage other than uninstall exts
