Puget Sound Fire, Renton RFA, VRFA, and @KingCoMedicOne responded to a car in the Duwamish River at approximately the 11300 block of Tukwila International Blvd. Firefighters arrived and found one car submerged.

In 2020, Jesse Puff set a fire at the Hillside Motel in Seattle that left 2 people dead and several others injured.

#SnohomishCounty — A driver drifting onto the shoulder caught a trooper’s attention 🚨
The stop quickly escalated: the driver was arrested for DUI, and a search of the vehicle uncovered more illegal items.
They were booked into jail and now face multiple charges.

Update 3/20 at 12:25 pm: Due to large amounts of water, Houser Way N is closed from 200 Mill Ave S to Bronson Way N. PW's is on scene assessing damage. 200 Mill Ave has been evacuated for safety precautions. Do not walk around bridge area over river as that could be unsafe.

BREAKING: Cyberattack against American breathalyzer test company locks out drivers across 45 states.

The cyberattack targeted Intoxalock (Iowa-based), which provides ignition interlock breathalyzers required in cars for DUI/OUI offenders in ~46 states.
It hit on March 15, knocking out their monitoring/calibration systems. Drivers must blow <0.02 BAC to start the car, but without updates, many are locked out or need service-center extensions (10 days in most states).
No data breach; company covering related costs/towing. Check intoxalock.com/status for updates.

UPDATE 8:30AM: Crews just sent these photos of NB I-5 south of Bellingham where all lanes remain closed due to slide activity. Geotechs will be on site this AM.
Roughly 2-3000 cubic yards of material is blocking the road. For context, the avg. WSDOT dump truck carries 16 yards.

UPDATE 5:40am: NB I-5 remains closed this morning due to slides last night south of Bellingham. All NB traffic is being diverted off I-5 at N Lake Samish Rd (exit 246). We do not have an estimate when lanes will reopen. Continue to expect delays in the area.

1/2 Yesterday evening, Troopers responded last to a multi-vehicle collision on SB I-5 in Kent. The causing driver fled, but was followed by a witness and located by troopers near SR-18 in Federal Way.

This Is I-5 near SR-18. Both vehicles were headed NB when the black car lost control and T-Boned the Acura, also traveling NB. The Acura hit the guard rail, went airborne and landed in the SB lanes. No serious injuries. Tows on scene. - NJ

On Tuesday, March 17, at 5:30 p.m., Renton detectives arrested a 36-year-old Tukwila man on suspicion of Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes and Sexual Contact with a Minor. The suspect's employed at Hazen High School. The Renton School District has been notified. 1/2
