Blue-haired waitress just destroyed the “end tipping” crowd with cold hard reality “If we get rid of tipping, good luck finding anyone to work Fridays, Saturdays, and especially Sundays.” She lays it out: Why would she bust her ass on 10x busier weekend shifts for the same low hourly wage as a slow Monday? The after-church crowd that “loves Jesus but hates everybody else”? The price hikes that are coming anyway? The restaurants that will cut staff on busy nights? She says the quiet part out loud: That money is coming out of your pocket either way. This is one of the most common-sense takes I’ve heard on this in a long time. Even with the blue hair and piercings… she’s 100% right. Tipping isn’t the problem — it’s the incentive system that actually gets people to show up and hustle. What do you think? End tipping?

@TaraBull Nope. Never. Superman is a hero, he saves the lives of all & I’ve seen too many videos of blk people ganging up on YT’s in their midst & attacking as a group. My suspension of disbelief won’t accommodate a black Superman bc I can’t see him caring or rescuing YT’s.

@mrmikeMTL @JaredWDrury It’s not the same but it’s close. Not all zero sugar sodas are created equal, find one you like, it also takes will power…Sunkist makes some nice water mix ins that are sugar free. Peach & pineapple are good.

@mrmikeMTL Waterloo sparkling water, also buy a carbonator, mix your own sparkling water. I quit drinking full sugar soda in February, have only had 1 since, and I used to drink shameful amounts…you can do it. When drinking soda, always go zero sugar, not diet, tastes better.

Dear Gen X, I’ve been watching 80s movies and I just need to know…WHERE WERE YOUR PARENTS?? Every child was just wandering the earth unsupervised like a raccoon with house keys. Riding bikes across town at midnight, fighting ghosts, investigating murders, befriending cryptids, hacking government computers for funsies… And the parents were ALWAYS “out of town” or “working late” while the only adult-adjacent supervision was some random 16-year-old who got dragged into the chaos. No cell phones. No helmets. No adult supervision. Just vibes, life lessons, and several near-death experiences. You all weren’t “raised.” You were lightly monitored feral creatures with a bike and unresolved trauma. I’m genuinely shocked there are enough of you left to populate an entire generation.

@kitchenDIY_ I am baffled by American cooking - just pour packets and packets of ingredients and fry it. Huge amounts of ingredients and the end result looks like prison food. Try a something way more sophisticated. Any food requiring a whole packet of anything is not classy.
