@BritBlindSport@IBSAGames2023@GoalballUK We have been trying to get Goalball started up here in Northern Ireland, but those of us interested live in different parts of NI, making it difficult to get it started.
“I hope that the @ibsagames2023 will raise awareness of goalball. Maybe someone comes to watch it and then decides to give it a go and discovers their talent and joy just like I did back in 2012.” - Dr Sarah Leiter, @GoalballUK. 🔵

Photo taken by OH who thankfully was with me. We are stood with my #GuideDog on the tactiles ready to cross @ the bottom of Church st #Ballymena but the pavement & tactile paving opposite is blocked by a huge planter! Daft & dangerous! @ImtacNI@mea_bc@deptinfra
(1/2) 81% of guide dog owners have experienced an access refusal in the past. 73% say that refusal took place in the previous 12 months.
Worryingly, 47% of retail staff were unaware that refusing access to a guide dog is illegal.
I’ve just invited my MP to @guidedogs online #escooter event next month. They’ll hear from people with sight loss about how e-scooters impact them and how they can help. Will you invite yours too? e-activist.com/page/78974/act…
I've asked my MLAs to ensure the next Northern Ireland Assembly election is accessible for voters with sight loss.
Will you ask your MLAs to advocate for accessibility, and pledge to make Northern Ireland more inclusive over the next Assembly term? rnib.in/NIAE-Tw
