This scrapped system would have been CRAZY in world of warcraft in vanilla wow, one of the most iconic pieces of gear for any fresh player is the Red Defias Mask. This rogue only item was ALL i wanted as a kid, but there were MUCH bigger plans for it than just looking cool. according to game designer kevin jordan, who made all the classes in the game, the mask was a prototype for a disguise system. This would allow rogues to collect ingredients, make disguises, and infiltrate various humanoid areas. ultimately this system was scrapped due to resource limitations and the fact that rogues already have stealth, but you can still see the remnants of this system in the game files with the Defias Disguise, which makes you look identical to a defias footpad. Is there any scrapped content from wow you want to see make a return in classic+?

@TheoryWiseOS Problem is that you level through old, useless content except for the last 10 levels. It would be much better if you could engage with the current expansion content during the whole levelling experience.

Retail WoW should remove leveling at this point. It's a hollow vestige of an actual RPG. Blizzard can't balance it. It's fundamentally broken. It takes no effort or patience. It doesn't teach you how to play. It doesn't show off the world because it's so flitting. There is nothing positive about the leveling experience in this game anymore, and Blizzard has demonstrated time and time again how little they actually care about it.

They’re talking about “approachability” and “bringing it to as many people as possible” because it’s constantly losing players. They’re focusing on the symptoms instead of the root problem. This “IP” has been run into the ground. Warcraft’s identity (its strongest point) was eroded. Go watch the WoD trailer, the Wrath trailer, TBC, Vanilla, Warcraft 3… Even something like Skyrim. What do you feel? That’s what inspired millions to play these games. Look at all the Warcraft fanart over the last 20 years. Those Disneyfied animation haven’t inspired anyone. It doesn’t resonate with anybody. Why are they so ignorant and can’t realise this? This is a fantasy game, and you’re not selling us the fantasy that we want to engage in and pay for. And yes, it's not always been perfect, but it's got much worse. And now you get this interview, and everyone dislikes it. They apparently dislike the very thing they work on. Even Chris Metzen himself who was this big promise for this new “saga”, which is absolutely failing. Where even is he now? That's just the truth, if you want a good levelling experience you go and play vanilla, literally one of the reasons why it's so popular - the journey to lvl 60.
