@Swinzino Baleba/Barco could be under lapping/overlapping/inverting from the LWB for the Rn10 capable of playing in and out (Doku & O'Reilly). And they can also feature in the double pivot with Caicedo (same with Bouaddi) supposed we get them all 😂. I prefer Scott to Bouaddi tho.

@blvckuncle_ With current squad back 3 makes sense but if you look at the transfers I added, Bouaddi, Baleba, Van Hecke and Barco I dont think he will use a back 3 when he has the extra physical MFs he needs

@Swinzino I don't think he will ever play a back 4 when he has suitable players to play his back 3. Everything screams back 3 at Chelsea-No traditional No 6 to be the lone pivot, calculated/measured possession, small distances and primarily defending with the ball. Look closely, bro 😂

@blvckuncle_ Thing about Chelsea is that we can easily shift from a back 4 to a back 5 we have the profiles fit for his style of play and even if he decides to go with a back 5 (i dont think he will) it will be with a winger dropping into the back line OOP but i honestly doubt it

@Swinzino Real Madrid could win 70% of thier matches without a coach. Thing is, the reason why we didn't see him play his 3-4-2-1 formation at Real Madrid is that the players aren't suitable for it. And for Real Madrid, he was ready to twerk his pattern/formation. That Alonso wasn't real.

@blvckuncle_ Nah, Xabi is highly adaptable. He used a 433, 442, and a 4231 at times in Madrid, with fbs performing all sorts of roles winning 70% of his games using a back four especially considering that Madrid didn't suit his high-possession, high-press style at all they lacked intensity

@Swinzino No, I sure get you. I know those guys you mentioned can do those stuffs* but would Xabi make them do it ? I highly doubt it because I've never seen him do any of it. We're built for his main formation (3-4-2-1) so I doubt he'd come in and play a back 4.

@blvckuncle_ Gusto can be anywhere due to his tactical adaptability and remember with the midfielders we have at times one FB can invert and overlap while the Cbs split wide and a MF comes at CCB. Do you want me to show you with images?

@blvckuncle_ Xabi Can coach a back 4 pretty well and bearing in mind I think what he will do is play a back 4 which would turn into a back 3 in possession and at times when defending have a winger drop in to make a back 5 which isn't dissimilar to what a lot of elite teams do

@Thomas938697346 @Blue_Footy Do you even know Alonso's 3-4-3 at all ? He plays inside 10s and not actual wingers (Wirtz/Hoffman/Tella). Are you saying Wirtz has the physique for it whereas Palmer and Estevao don't ? 😂 Quenda/Neto are perfect fit for the WBs position. Why ? Look into Tella as an example...

@blvckuncle_ @Blue_Footy Quenda/neto as wingbacks not sure. A typical 3-4-3 has defensive wingbacks who can attack. And in this system you use wingers not inside forwards. They are expected to carry the ball, expected to produce high intensity sprints.. palmer and estevao don't have the physique for it.

You can imagine the amount of injury we will record playing under Andoni Iraola. 🤔 He's a very good coach but not for this squad. It's a disaster waiting to happen if we hire him.

@Thomas938697346 @Blue_Footy We won't be playing "wingers" but inside forwards/10s (Pedro/* and Palmer/Estevao). LWB would be Neto/Quenda. And there are several others than can play in the double pivot with Caicedo instead of Enzo (which you wouldn't need to worry about thier recovery rate).

@blvckuncle_ @Blue_Footy Mate, for a 3-4-3 to flourish I reckon you need direct pacy goalscoring wingers (we lack it), and overlapping wingbacks (with creative flair and goal scoring threat- cucurella/hato not this profile) and Enzo his recovery pace would be an issue in this system.
